China should cancel out its order of Su-30s and develop a longer ranged verion of this super duper medium tech fighter, nationalism taken to an extreme is a bit sad lads.

Has Russia ever used any land attack cruise missile against anyone or does anyone have any link to missile performance during training exercises maybe?

To make Crobato and the gang happy, shall we leave this discussion for another day after HAL su-30s get off the production line, more details will be made available then. Both are great aircraft fro the same family, both China and India got a good deal, China needing them more than India.

Even in the US military, getting to the top requires political skills. There is no such thing as a military that has no political skills.

In the Western/Middle Eastern/monotheistic sense, god not just exists everywhere, He also exists beyond it. The believer can only comprehend God as to what his limited capabilities as a human can percieve, and therefore the believer can only see a glimpse of the truth, but never fully in all its glory as only the Maker could.

    😀

Anyway guys let us not move into religion and corrolate this to the su-30, its dumb. 🙂

Well the real diff btw the MKK and MKI will be in terms of sensors and a slight edge in manouverability. Both are ver fine aircraft and the MK poses a grave threat to taiwan and the USN.

Are you saying Sukhoi and Irkut is lying?

The Air Chief does not “supervise”. He is not an engineer. He is not a plane designer. Sukhoi and Irkut designs and makes the plane. Even HAL gets the plane from THEM.

Can you please answer my question before I answer yours thanks?

Crobato the Air Chief who supervises the project says so, get it?

Are u sayingthat the IAf air chief is lying?

So I guess the IAF chief designed and made the aircraft himself, that Sukhoi and Irkut—designer and builder—ARE LYING and don’t know the planes they’re designing and building. Right?

SINCE HAL IS LICENCE MANUFACTURING THE AIRCRAFT UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE IAF IAR CHIEF, they should know, and no Crobato dot twist what I am saying, do u have exact dimensions from the factory talking about the Su-30MKI, READ MKI FIGURES THANKS?

And what about Sukhoi? Irkut? That’s what I meant by the horse’s mouth.

I guess the IAf Chief would not have the brochures with him and would not know how much his aircraft weighs.

In any event all this is a mute point, all su-xx clas fighters have very long ranges.

It is not for the rarest of circumstances. It is during conditions of war. It permits the plane to strike US bases for example, as far away as Guam. So there is quite a strong tactical motivation for this.

On your quotes, again since you put it this way, it’s reason to give the benefit of a doubt. It may also be a planned or intended spec on the plane, but then again, you still have no factory/Irkut/Sukhoi official statement of such to put all doubts away.

I find it ironic how certain members who spend their time on speculation can actually say this. The IAF chief is a good enough source, Crobato you won’t be forgetting the term “horse’s mouth” would you?

I am just glad the failures which are bound to occur happen in the testing phase ad not on the LCA itself, cant imagine how the lefties will react to this in India and the dumb media too.

Assume for one second that the MKi range is less (because India bought it so it must be <), who really cares? The range is still HUGE, with refuellers, its a mute point, even the MKI wont be able to go that deep in China anyway but it can cover Pakistan very well, hence i se nothing of importance in such a discussion apart from the usual suspect tryig to put down everything INdian to feel better about a certain airforce.

Nothing official has come out about the recent Kaveri claimed failure, from what we know the Kabini core was heavily tested and worked fine. If it is something other than the core itself that went coucou, redesigning will take its sweet time. As the poster before me says, it won’t take much at 1500rpm to go wrong, the smallest thing can cause total failure f the engine.

The only thing that annoys me about the INdian media is that they are stupid in defence matters, do they expect India never to fail in testing? ridiculous, obviously things will go wrong sometimes, its part of the learning process.
