Make more sense to be 300 miles. But MTCR pressed BAPL to say it is 300 km. Thanks Harry to make it clear with reliable info. 😀
Brahmos’s current hi-low trajectory is better for SEAD, make impossible for anti-missile systems to intercept it which also fly at Mach 2.8. 😎
The ESSM should be able to in theory, intercept a Brahmos, what is the speed of the new sparrows?
3.5-4 mach
Err does the IN operate the Klub (forget the version name) where the missile is subsonic until it reaches 40kms from target, then a booster comes online and it goes upto Mach 2.8?
Well I am looking at that link provided, it sounds like it is possible to build a battleship type armour plating to withstand such hits, to me that would sound like a place for furthur development and or research.
Wont the ESSM have a fair chance at engaging the Brahmos with its 3.5-4 mach missiles?
Err I found this link and got interested in it
http://www.battlefield.ru/guns/defin_1.html
What kind of thickness would a ship require to withstand a direct hit from a Mach 3 travelling brahmos, from what i read, its possible.
Also what US or European ships are being designed with enough thickness or armour to withstand a Brahmos type hit
?
compared to the Sunburn…
Have there been any estimates of how much the RCS of Brahmos has been reduced?
Err wont they want to increase that missile range now that the Russians have taught us how to propel the missile?
Well,If the Indian Fleet is being equipped with Akulas, and Scorpenes, the development of an Indian version SSN is crossed out permanently,or somehow postponed?I wondered if the Russian class Moscow class carriers were overhauled and equipped
with MIG-29Ks and put to service…Hell, since the Vikraat is the only carrier available now in the Indian navy asernal for now(I heard Vikrant retired),they should have problems gaining air superiority over the Indian waters despite the new Sukhoi models just being delivered to the Indian Air force.

NO the ATV project is alive and kicking, the reactor is aparently being fitted to the hull.
And as far as those Akulas are concearned, could the presence of IN crews around a Russian sub base simply mean that they are training for the eventual sea trials of the ATV?
Wow this is unbelievable. This is where this forum has gone……….
I started a thread simply asking for a few prayers for the victims and it turns into a war where people are already debating who did what wrong, and what should have been done, etc.
Shouldn’t we simply focus on the disaster at hand and work at cleaning it up instead of worrying about who is to blame.
That’s one thing I hate about human nature…..it always has to be somebody’s fault.
Think of the victims and what they are going through.
Here here, i second that

It would not have made sense that with only one test Pakistan can induct a cruise missile. Certainly help was given by the usual source(s)
Just because India orders Scorpenes does not mean that it is not happy with the German sub performance, everything from price to relations with the Govt matters. Germany was only recently cleared to present its case of the IN buying its subs, this was a diplomatic gesture.
very similar to the Tomahawk, thats for sure.
India did not get help with Brahmos, it is acutally a formal coorperation where both countries are developing the project together. (mor than just help :))
Also in terms of the answer given by the Indian official, a question was asked to him in terms of babur being like Brahmos and this answer must be put to context.
