Did the MiG-21s in Kargil have flare dispensors and what kind of ECm systems did they have?
I do not know much about the MiG-21s of the IAf Kargil and pre Kargil.
a few yrs ago IN removed all numbers off its subs so externally not possible to identify which Kilo or U209. the reason is probably cause some Kilos are upgraded with new eqpt and Klub while rest are awaiting their turn — they dont want anyone to know which is sailing out. the IN dockyard in bombay is clearly visible from nearby highrise buildings including a seaside 5* Taj hotel also known as “spy central” 🙂
But that will set u back a few hundred US dollars my friend. But the best restaurant is found there. 🙂
An unfortunate incident, if it canot intercept decoy warheads on Scud Ds, one wonders how far away an Arrow capable of intercepting Shahab class missiles really is.
Just a quick remark, are we comparing what the PAF has yet to have with what the IN has already. 🙂
This is why we should just move on. 🙂
But I won’t complain too much if this news item becomes true. 🙂
And India was also only interested in 6 Scorpenes and not 10!
I would think the Sub would be of the U214 type.
I thought that INdia was interested in a “Germanized” Scorpene and then there would be Amurs?
I never heard of any U-xxxs?
wow, that would be interesting if they could get an E-2C off the Gorshkov, I imagine more powerful engines would be required to say the least. But even one E-2c would change the entire IN carrier situation in terms of cababilities.
Indian
Comeon mate, I hope that u did not get this in their INdian millitary watch section, that place is a joke, these appear to be just rumours, unless that powd cat story becomes true, no E-2cs will opetate from any IN carrier unless they are planning to use it as a land basedfill the gap type for the Phalcon.
Points well taken I just think that especially in case of emergencies a two engined plane makes more sense for a stobar carrier ops but I am willing to takeit all back and eat some crow soup like paffy did yesterday if someone can tell me this
Compare the MiG-29K engines to the LCA N engine and tell me which one will be better in terms of twr, better loadout for the plane in question etc.
Israel is India’s access to advanced western tech, Israeli UAVs have been quite helpful to the IN and the IA, the Indian Govt is comitted to improving relations with Israel, we are not the ME, Israel has never done anyhting against us ever, i see no reson why such a beneficial relaitonship cannot continue to grow.
Erez 🙂
Blackcat is one of those wacky Indian lads who has been drinking one too many kingfisher beers lately, Blackcat yar, just relax, some vacation will do u good, hotels in Mumbai are cheap this month, try it out. 🙂
be it he LCA or Saras, they never get the paintjob right 🙁
Only the IJT painters did a good job.
I agree with Blackcat on one thing, I don’t like the NLCA either, no one engined plane belongs on a carrier for obvious reasons, f they make a two engined NLCA fine but that is unlikely.
Could this be an allliance for the Scorpene… 🙂
