Wolverine tis ok yar blackcat is just on the extreme of things, he is a nice fellow at heart, he jsut has these wacky ideas but we are happy to have him on the team. 🙂
I also do not consider the large pool of foreign fighters in Iraq as freedom fighters. 🙂
Blackcat
Forex reserves are not as simple as u may think they are, we cannot just take out 10Bn tomrrow, it does not work like this, besides the forex is there to make sure the combined state and central deficit dont cause an Argentina on us. Its insurance and u don’t mess with that money! Besides you cannot just withdraw that money just like that.
They stoped being freedom fighters once they started to capture and decapitate civilians, more Iraqis have died due to roadside bombs than the “occupying forces”, sorry freedom struggleis fair but not when u bomb children and cut off heads of people who have nothing to do with the conflict, fight the millitary not the civilians, not Iraquis!
You can critisize all u want but those “occupyong forces” got rid of Saddam Hussain, he may not have had the weapons Bush said he had, agreed, but he was worst than scum can be and since most of his pop were either Kurds or Sheites, getting rid of him was a good thing, instead of fighting, these looney toons should try to work for a better Iraq and if they feel the US is being unfair, then they can use words and not weapons for a change.
Is’nt that awfully tragic for a country traditionally championing the cause of the oppressed around the globe. Its conspicuous and noble opposition to the western imperialism, since it had experienced the affliction first hand, non-alligned movement et al. Now its itching to be an all-willing accessory to the neo-imperealism of America’s Christian right.
Abandonment of the India’s traditional support of the Palestinian freedom struggle and the unwavering support of the pogrom carried out against the Palestinians by the extremist right wing elements of both Israel and US administrations cannot be hailed as step in the right direction.
Why don’t the Indians reach out to the equally popular peace movement in Israel and urge the extremist likud gov’t of Sharon, through which its acquiring ever-growing list of weapons systems and currying influence in Washington to be less brutal in its treatment of the Palestinians? The dynamics have truly changed and the Indian foreign policy at least when the BJP was in power seemed to have been driven by the same messianic and biblical dogma that the extremist right wing christians, Bush’s constituents had used to justify its support of the Israel and complete indifference to the suffering of the Palestinians.
One sincerely hopes that Congress would reverse some of the most ill-concieved policies implemented by the BJP, which were rooted in biogtry and blind hatred.
Che India has changed from the old socialist days, socialism never got us anywhere in life, it kept us poor and even today such old school, thought prevents us from growing faster, Indias are westernized, its just the way we are, as far as the Palestinian struggle, we do support thm but i think that its clear that they dont side with us in the end, why should we support them, besides we do support all peaceful resolutions to Palestine and Israel, u can claim that Sharon is this and that, granted he is right wing but come on India should nver ever ever support Yasser Arafat, The Palestinians need to look within and reorganize, then we can talk about support, for now Israel has been a good friend and we value this morethan anything else, nations look after their own interest, Nehru is dead, now let us get back to defence talk.
My apologies gentlemen. I locked the previous thread because it was too long, and neglected to place a post informing others.
🙂
google that face of yours dude, its so wacky, what is that pic? I am starting to believe that u actually look like this.
Indian
I think that the point has been proven, we should restrain from talking about these members, I do not wish to see this thread closed for no reason as well, let it be, AFM is like that onleee.
Yes India was offered to enter the JSF programme but the offer was a bad one at the time since we would not get much in terms of tech transfer, we would just be dishing out the cash, relatios with the US are changing, most Indians love the US way of life, INdia is probably going to become the most pro US country in Asia as the younger generation who grew up watching MTV and Bolywood movies which always showcase American living standards gets tothe workforce. A strong relaitonship with Israel 🙂 and a good Indian lobby in the US helps out as well.
I say that we should have bought those block 30s for agressor training purposes, but then again I believe that higher block training will be received shortly via Singapore AF and I am sure that we have had a good look at the F-16s of the IAF (Israel)
We are not a major non NATO ally but that does not mean that we did not get an F-16 offer. 🙂

India offered F-16 fighter deal
The deal faces competition from France and Russia
US aviation firm Lockheed Martin has offered to replace India’s unreliable MiG-21 fighter jets with F-16s as the battle heats up for Indian defence contracts.
Lockheed said it would build F-16s and C-130 cargo planes in India given an “economically viable” deal.
The offers came ahead of a visit to India this week by French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, who will discuss a deal to supply Mirage-2000 jets instead.
The MiG-21 has been called the “flying coffin”
India has 700 ageing MiG-21s known as “flying coffins” because of their poor safety record.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics regional vice-president Dennys Plessas said in Delhi that general F-16 production was expected to continue beyond 2008.
“If India wants to lease used F-16s from the United States Government, then we can extend supply and technological support and if India wants one F-16 for four of its MiG-21s, then we can make it here,” Mr Plessas said.
The US NEVER offered India F-16s.
It was “reported” by one Indian website and as per usual, copied by other newspapers/websites and suddenly became “news”
India would have LOVED to get its hands on some new F-16s, not just from a technical point of view but symbolically and politically it would have been a diplomatic triumph, thats probably why the US would never release them.
The US could effectively block the LCA engines, Phalcon Deal and Hawk deal if it wanted to, so it already has alot of leverage over India…….
Proove your first statement, proove that other websites copied the first website and then it became news. How will u do that exactly? The attack on indian threads continues. 🙂
Blackcat is one unique guy 🙂
Relations with Israel should be pressed forward asap, Israel has a lot of tech know how that we can lear from. 🙂
Very nice pics well done 🙂
