Ghauri, Ghaznavi, Abdali, Babur, etc. played a vital role in the establishment of Muslim rule on massive India for approximately 900 years.

What do they have common with Pakistan ? – Islaam.

Pakistan, along with Israel i believe are the only 2 countries formed on the basis of a particular religion. Pakistanis consider owing a lot to the likes of Qasim, Ghaznavi, Ghauri etc. for the advent of Islaam into South Asia and delivering to them the so-called true religion of their God.

These people lived in Muslim India for centuries and the signs of their legacy are still evident in various parts of South Asia. Many Muslims in South Asia are descendants of these people. So i don’t think these names are foreign in any way to Pakistanis or Indians. After all there is a stunning population of Muslims in India too (approximately equal to that of Pakistan or more). I read somewhere that Pak also has a missile called TIPU SULTAN in the making.

As for Iran naming its missiles ‘Hitler’ to target the Israelis ……. I ask you a question, what cultural, religious, territorial bond does Iran have with Hitler ? None. ๐Ÿ™‚

Babur has a very strong cultural, religious bond with the people of Pakistan. Infact the history of Pakistan starts with the advent of these names to the subcontinent – when Qasim took Sindh from Dahir – 712 A.D.

And it is also a good name for a cruise missile.

    Peace.

Pakistanis are not of Afgani or Turkic descent, they are of Indian descent, they are (95% of them) converts, this is a fact that can be prooved by any geneticist out there and is available on Encarta and company for your viewing pleasure.

Gauri has nothing Islamic about him, he was a murderer of thousands and built pyramids of skulls outside Lahore (yep a now Pakistani city) and killed ancestors of BOTH NATIONS which is why i made the comment in the first place. certainly i do not think that a great religion like Islam has anything to do with a criminal like Gauri and for you to try to find a link with it is insulting to all Muslims in the world.

    peace to you too

Do ponder as to why all your missiles are named after invaders who entered India. And count how many of those invaders came anywhere from the region we call Pakistan today.

How many from Afghan ? How many from Pakistan ?

Naming missiles with foreign names, surely they can find a regional Muslim from the sub continent?

Take Gauri for example, the man was a monster as per Muslim scholars and he was of Turkic descent, why name a Pakistani missile with a foreigner’s name.
Gauri killed thousands of Indians, btw before partition there was no Pakistan, what I am saying is that the ancestors of both countries were killed by this man, I can understand Indian reservation about the name but I am baffled as to why the foreign name is chosen, not only that but a name of a man who killed both present day Indians and Pakistanis alike?
Not only is it insulting in a way but it defies logic. Imagine if Iran named its new gen missiles as HItler and targetted it at Israel.

Either they stick to old Islamic names or get local names.

In other news but the same old show of manhood, the head of the Babur already claimed in his first press conf that the said missile is better than that of INdia.

Err isn’t the Barak 2 designed to intercept supersonic sea skimming missiles and not the Barak 1. I believe that this was the reason given by the IN to help fund the Barak 2?

When the Viraat retires, do they take out the Barak and put it into another ship?

The Mirage has more range than the LCA and carries a slightly higher oayload.

BUt these are small things, the big problem of course is the fact that the LCA is only supposed to enter limited service by 2008 and HAL has not said what kind of production rate they would be able to have. Not more than 20 per annum.

The MiG-29 is the best platform out there in terms of cost and availability. Its negatives include a still smoky rd-93 engine and higher maintainance hours than the Mirage. Also the IAF did not use to be too happy with the A version. bad memories still remain.

NEW DELHI: By the end of this decade, India should have a fully-operational nuclear submarine of its own. The Advanced Technology Vessel (ATV) project to build a nuclear-powered, guided-missile attack submarine is now on track after years of technical glitches and design problems.

“The first functional ATV should be ready for trials by 2007-08. The technical problems, including fitting a miniaturised pressurised water reactor (PWR) and its containment vessel in the submarineโ€™s hull, have more or less been sorted out,”says a top source.

Sources add that the two heavily-guarded ATV project complexes at Vishakapatnam naval dockyard, where the basic submarine structure is being fabricated, and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research at Kalpakkam, where the PWRs are being tested, are witnessing a flurry of activity these days.

The project has been shrouded in secrecy ever since it was formally launched in 1983, with successive governments either denying its very existence or being deliberately vague about it.

Interestingly, one of the grounds for sacking Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat as the Navy chief in December 1998 was his expression of concern, in public, for the slow progress of the ATV project.

Apart from the Navy, which operated a leased Russian nuclear submarine โ€˜INS Chakraโ€™ from 1988 to 1991, a whole host of agencies ranging from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to the Defence Research and Development Organisation are involved in the hush-hush project.

Russia, too, is providing technical help to the project in the form of PWRs and vessel designs.

Of course a MiG-29A will loose out vs a Mirage-2000-5 but I have my doubts about the 29M2 vs Mirage2k5. Certainly as I mentioned before in a dogfight the MiG-29A beats the Mirage 2000H hands down in IAF training exercises.

What ever happened to the longer range version of the r-77 anyway? that will be the big difference btw the two mrca planes.

 The idiotic trick of a flamer and his sophomoric way of getting someone in “trouble.” The stupidity of this kind of foolishness.

It would make your day to get me in “trouble,” wouldn’t it, Internet warrior?

Really? Here you go contradicting yourselof again.

It was YOU WHO BROUGHT INDIA UP ON THE LAST PAGE, ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER.

I know that you have problems differentiating between a patent and a copyright but here is what you said on the last page, this is what propmted all this bruhaha BECAUSE YOU WERE SPITTING BS.

“India has no qualms about copying things that it can copy and is the world’s largest violator of pharmaceutical copyright.

Now, the difference between China and India is that even under the worst period of isolation when China was at odds with BOTH Russia and the US in the 1960s and early 70s, the Chinese were able to develop and build equipment from small transport planes (Y-11) all the way up to nuclear submarines on their own. “

genious India never had the intention of building a nuclear sub until the 1990s., it has nothing to do with skill, India only started to develop ballistic missile after it realized that China was giving away missiles to Pakistan……. The first engine =kaveri in the late 80s given green signal…. ๐Ÿ™‚ but i already posted about that, yet you ignored it conviniently….

It was YOU WHO MENTIONED INDIAN LACK OF SKILLK, VIOLATOR OF DRUGS BLABLABLA, when as IT HAS BEEN SHOWN you had NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT, it was you WHO QUOTED MY LAST SENTENCE AND MENTIONED FLAMER AND THEN ON THE NEXT POST MENTIONED THAT “OH NO ITS NOT YOU ITS STEALTH SPY” TO BE FOLLOWED AGAIN BY THIS POST WHERE YOU MENTION “NO YOU ARE THE FLAMER” CONFUSED.

I am tired of being insulted by a nationalist, i am not a flamer for bringing this known fact up, and btw stealth spy is not MY INDIAN, just like Crobato is not your Chinese…., such lines do show your nationalistic and racist logic comming to the fore. And please do stop bringing India up on unrelated threads, i could care less about your ws-10 or any other dingdong, this is not a war, your idiotic generalizations about all Indians is yet another example of your racist and nationalistic logic.

So because Stealh spy brought up the ws-10 on another thread YOU HAD TO TAKE revenge by talking about violators of copyrighted material which was stupid and proven wrong, lack of technical skill when you had no idea what you were blabbing about and then you call others flamers.

Here is a thought, Stealth spy does not speak for all Indians, he is not the Chinese Govt, he speaks for himself, i know its hard to imagine, so please do stop your obvious racial sentences such as “the indian” etc, the guy has a name genious.

this does not mean that you can thus start blabbing away about industries and things you have no knowledge about, of courseit was not smart trying to proove your opinion by giving the name of a known pro US drugs lobbyist as wel . ๐Ÿ™‚

It is obvious to anyone who has read your posts that the only reason why you mention Indian lack of skill was to somehow try to defend your country’s lack of expertise in designing a certain engine and 2) to take revenge on stealth spy for mentioning a chinese engine somewhere else.

You then proceeded in claiming that India violates x and y laws and the reason why it has not done w and v is because of lack of skill, somehow aspirin=engine debate??????? It was pointed to you quite nicely and cordially on the last page that this is not the case but then you decided to trumpet your typical Indians this and Indians that garbage, go to the lca thread again and see how a Chinese has acted, revenge is stupid and generalizations is idiotic to say the least.
    grow up man

Gold airways, this is not the LCA thread, and the only reason i brought up the WS-10 is because your fellow madrassa cohort was trolling the LCA thread with crap that the Kaveri is a copy of the GE engine….and in the reference prior to that in the LCA thread i was only enquiring how hard it was to reverse engineer an engine, giving the WS-10 as an example as at that time i was under the impression that it was a copy of the AL-31FN as it was mentioned in the sinodefence link…

Any getting back to china related topics….from where did China get the DSI intake technology….is it true that Israel leaked it from the F-35 ????

BTW : here is a great read on DSI technology http://www.codeonemagazine.com/archives/2000/articles/july_00/divertless_1.html

The accusation was ironiccaly adressed to me though. Goldn Dragon got his flames confused.

    good night

One wonders why an Indian would repeatedly bring up Indian idiocies on a WS-10 thread which in turn came about when the same Indian for some idiotic reasons repeatedly brings up the WS-10 on a LCA thread – a thread I’ve left untouched because unlike you I’ve not interest in flaming.

Now, your Indian cohort had tried to insinuate that India is somehow more “honorable” than China in not copying engines and I gave him my opinion on India’s copying of the things that it is capable of copying.

If you dislike this opinion (which is backed up by links) then kindly take your nationalistic ego-massaging elsewhere. There is no reason for him to bring up India nor was there reason for him to bring up the WS-10 in the LCA thread.

We would move on to Chinese subjects as soon as you Indian fellows drop from this thread your nationalistic and irrelevant comments (which are nothing but idiotic Indian ego-boosting guided by a stupid, misplaced and delusional sense of rivalry.)

    ๐Ÿ˜€

Now you are in trouble, please show ME WHERE I HAVE REPEATEDLY BROUGHT UP THE WS-10 ISSUE ON AN INDIAN THREAD. not interested in flaming are we? why LIE THEN?
    pathetic

    tsk tsk tsk

The only reaswon I brought all this up ON THIS THREAD was because you were BSING AGAIN ON THE LAST PAGE, ONE CAN SIMPLE SCROLL BACK AND READ IT THEMSELVES.

AND PLEASE STOP USING THE SAME LINES I USE ON YOU AGAINST ME, its “copyrighted”.

tsk tsk I never expected you to start to lie.

You are a big fat liar and nothing else making upfalse accusations when you realize that you had no idea about what you were talking about. I will kindly AGAIN say, let us move on, you are not worth it, liars never are.

If the Phalcon is comming soon, i recon that they will have to upgrade the MiG-29s with datalinks and the like.

    Here is my question

Does the Bison have any form of datalinking (the most rudementary) with each other?
