Stop wasting bandhwith with pics, someone had made claims with numbers,I do not care if you have x ray eyes from looking at brochures, where are those dimensions comming from? what kind of measument method and what kind of error variable are you working with?

I can’t see the numbers, I only see someone looking to data snoop.

How do you base this, where are the dimensions.

There was a certain lad who claimed that errors in certain articles make the whole damn thing loose credibility, well claims too do the same thing, the source for the LCA nose dimension and volume will be required before one can say “the nose is too small”
Arthur gave some numbers, a source will be welcome.

This is not a speculation thread, seems and such words will cut it in other threads but not here, I do not care about your opinion but on facts, you claim something and accuse others of being fanboys, you better back it up.

It is not just about dia of Antenna but Volume and weight also counts. LCA seems

does not have any space. ZHUK-M is 250KG radar.

    SEEMS
PLEASE provide your measument method and standard error variable. 😀

    Arthur
can you now please provide me with the exact nose dimensions of the Mirage 2000 and the LCA and why a Zhuk M sized radar cannot fit in it?

3 years after first flight, the LCA is about to enter weapons trials later this year, that is not bad, we have already provided proof, actually Yahoo, that the LCA programe really started in 88-89 and funds were temporarily frozen in the 91 balance of payments crisis due to IMF obligations. The so called small nose that certain memebrs seem to have secret dimesions of is big enough to carry a Zhuk M radar, and op gear, yet this escapes certain individuals constantly, I can see the same garbage being rementione in a few weeks. Just like he J-10, the LCA still uses a proven American engine for which contracts have been signed, for the initial 40-50 aircraft anyway. The LCA will have all the nifty avionics you would expect, even an EF-2000 style voice command system, digital displays etc, the LCA itself is doing very well as per Atre, the ADA chief, but then again what does he know. 🙂
It is the Kaveri that should be discussed, there arguments can more easily be made, engine mastering is a long process but it just needs to be done even if they cant get it upto advertised specs.

Info about the Kaveri is scarce, latest info indicates that the testing is going well finally and there has been talk of testing it on the LCA in a couple of years, the Kaveri will take its sweet time, we have experienced great difficulty mastering the technology but things are looking much brighter now compared to the dim 2002 summer.

I do not buy the dated argument, the LCA is not facing the F-22 but the FC-1 and the J-10, the J-10 will have similar ranged missiles, it will be a 4th gen fighter aka. Quad FBW isnot dated, neither will the avionics on the plane, as stated n number of times the MKI uses a lot of LCA components which will be furthur upgradd for the LCA itself. The LCA will not be able to compete with any 5th gen fighter but it will be able to handle 4th gen fighters, full stop.

    Another one
post two pics of a fighter, then say that one is therefore doubtful. 🙂

Believe it or not, Yahoo over here has just solved a complex issue and deserves the 1M dollar Nobel prize

    Here is his great theory
If you can go on the net or make up linkless articles, whichever you prefer or both, about a certain issue and post more negative articles than +ive ones, you proove that the idea is garbage

This can be applid to all fighter planes too

Dind 10 negative articles on the F022 and 2 +ive ones, then claim that the F-22 is a failure, same logic to the Ef-2000 and Rafale
    Thanks Yahoo. 🙂

    This is not the issue.

If GAURAV C SAWANT says it it must be true, the LCA is a success if I can post more +ive articles and a failure if I can post _articles. 🙂

    A nobel winning logic

Having a quad FBW makes it a 3rd gen fighter, having an American engine makes it being tested with an unproven engine, the nose being able to carry a Zhuk M sized radar is too small, cranked deltas are the same as traditional delatas with the same dynamic properties and create the same vortices, the Kaveri is a failure even though it is still in testing, just one thing, if an engine can reach its specs, it would be done with the testing phase, but what do I know.

Those were some of the gems of the last 24 hours
