How gives a f**k about your Russian and Israeli media.
Wanna wager them against AFP (Agencie France Presse).
Or how about the International Herald Tribune.

Israeli foreign minister visits Beijing in bid for new sanctions on Iran
Here is Forbes reporting the Israeli PM visit to China to impose sanctions to Iran.
http://www.forbes.com/afxnewslimited/feeds/afx/2007/10/18/afx4233724.html
Why are you selling J-10s to Iran when you are planning SANCTIONS against Iran?
You just cannot face the fact of your irresponsible Russian sources because it means to everyone reading in this forum, that your sources are worth their weight in the material you put in the toilet.
For those people who cannot tell an example of what is a credible news source and what is not, here is an example of a top notch Western news agency.
Israeli FM to China for Iran sanctions talks
JERUSALEM, Oct 27 (AFP) Oct 27, 2007
Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Tzipi Livni leaves for China on Saturday for talks with the government on sanctions against Iran over Tehran’s controversial nuclear programme, Israeli sources said.
Her meetings in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday will outline potential further UN sanctions which could be taken against Tehran if it fails to halt uranium enrichment, which the West fears is a cover for atomic weapons development.Iran strongly denies claims it is attempting to develop nuclear arms.
Livni’s visit follows trips by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to Russia, France and Britain in a bid to agree a sanctions strategy. Olmert also visited Beijing in January for discussions on Iran’s nuclear policy.
Earlier this week the United States announced that the six major powers involved in sanctions planning against Iran — America, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany — would meet in Europe in early November to discuss tightening sanctions.
Foreign ministers from the six decided in September to convene a meeting but agreed to wait until November, when new information about Iran’s nuclear programme should become available.
Washington announced unilateral sanctions against three banks and several units of the Iranian military on Thursday, but Iran’s new chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili denied they would effect nuclear policy.
Israel has previously described Iran as its principal strategic threat, and earlier this month US President George W. Bush warned of a possible World War III if Tehran acquired nuclear weapons.
American Vice President Dick Cheney has also warned of “serious consequences” for Iran if it continues to defy global demands that it freeze sensitive nuclear work.
The latest US sanctions targeted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, accused of spreading weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and the IRGC’s elite Quds Force, which was branded a supporter of terrorism.
Three Iranian state-owned banks were also blacklisted, along with IRGC-controlled companies and the logistics arm of Iran’s defence ministry, as Washington stepped up a drive to squeeze Iran out of global banking.
LOL. China is among the six powers that is planning SANCTIONS against Iran. And you have the Israeli Prime Minister no less going to China PLANNING the SANCTIONS.
Now go ahead and tell me how MADE UP this J-10 scenario is.
Gentlemen, may I suggest we leave the “fury” aside and try to focus ouselves back on the “facts”?
Here’s how I see it:
a- Iran is not currently under any sort of UN-mandated arms embargo, so any country may sell any kind of conventional weaponry to it as they see fit.
Not really true.
b- Iran does need new fighters to raplace venerable F-14, F-4, and F-5s from the seventies, and soon to be obsolete MiG-29s, Su-24s, Su-25 and J-7 aircraft.
Which is why they are developing the new fighter of theirs.
c- Iran has been manaced with bombing and/or invasion by the US and Israel repetedly and publicly
Much better for them to buy SAMs.
d- China is in the middle of attemping to actively assert itself as a global power, from its current regional power status. Selling world classe jet fighters and all it’s drag along products and services is certainly a good way to bring other less developed nations “under Chinas geopolitical wings”.
And China wants to do this just to show its balls to the US? Iran is an important trade partner for China, but so does Israel. In fact, Israel is one of the China’s closest friends in the Middle East. Not to mention all those Sunni Arab states like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc,.
This announcement of this hipotetical Iranian sale has sounded to me as quite possible but rather premature. Normally orders like this are kept in the silent until the last plane is delivered, in order to avoid the exact political turmoil we see before us right now. But, who knows, maybe the mandarins at the Chinese Comunist Party don’t really care about what the western media thinks of its defense deals… Let’s just wait until the 2008 Beijing Olimpics blows over…:diablo:
Comments?
Regards,
Hammer
The PLAAF has not cleared the J-10 for export, and it still hangs in the balance even for sales to countries like Pakistan. You fail to consider that China does not sell its latest toys for fear of compromising intel. By the time you see J-10s in Iran, J-14s would be filling PLAAF air bases.
Oh oh i am so afraid yeah yeah Israel is a democracy, news papers have more freedom than the average dictatorship, the Israeli press is free to have a different view, they are not forced as a typical dictatorship to repeat the government view and the irony of your arguments is Russia too says the same thing, it is an example that even despite Russia and Israel have different views about Iran and are in different sides of the political arena at least they say the same, yeah the J-10 is based upon the Lavi.
Russia is even helping the Iran, however israel and russia say the same things about the J-10
Having a democracy does not mean you have a trustworthy press. In fact, it also results in tabloid media that will say all sorts of things just to get sales.
You’re backing up an indefensible position. No credible news organization and professional media organization watching the defense industry like Jane’s is reporting your alleged J-10 sale to Iran any credit.
Let’s get this thread back on topic — anyone know th tail number of srial number of the F-15K that crashed?
How many actually crashed by the way and when? Was it one or two?

Nice work.
Patent Rubbish !!. Textiles is chinas trump card?? Phah emerging superpower  . Textiles also come in abundance from India, pakistan and bangladesh. To think that US would let korea be attacked for Tommy Hilfiger, you must be high on “high quality” chinese stuff.
No, hundreds of billions worth of US Treasury bonds are China’s trump cards. You have no idea that the US dollar value is now controlled by China’s central bank.
Your limited knowledge about that aside. China is just a single and in some areas important part of the world economy. Less than 10% in total, but in a few areas above that level. The temporary loss of that capacity will do rise prices for the related items, but it will not cause a real shortage of that. Within a few month the competitors will rise their output to fill the gaps from that. The global economic damage of WW2 was very limited. The loss for some European/Asian countries, was the win for others.
LOL. China now accounts for 33% of the world’s industrial output, and this would rise to 40% after this decade. It is the world’s number one steel producer among other things.
If they buy the J-10s in a time frame of 3-5 years it proves the gossips right it already will prove they were talking and the denials were false
And where does the article say about 3 to 5 years time line? Eh? You’re full of BS, just like the articles you post. As a matter of fact, the record of Russian media has not been very good for years, given how many misses… They’re not generally interested in the actual truth (e.g. MiG-29 shooting down that F-117, even though the Serbians had officially credited a SAM battery for that.)
Wasn’t it not too long ago they were reporting Iran purchases of Su-30s? Iran purchases of MiG-29s? Updates on Iran MiG-29s? Iran SAM purchases of things like S-300s?
Wrong. That’s because anything can happen in the future by sheer probability. By the same token the US can sell F-35s to a future Iranian government. That does not make truth retroactive. The question is whether you have a deal now or not? You make a report, you have to stand by it with the facts.
Keep spinning the truth.
I am not twisting any fact, wait a few years, if they do not sell them and keep their word as they say now, you won`t see J-10s in Iranian colors in the next 3-5 years but now it is early too early to say, probably and i say 98% of the odds are against the sale of J-10s to Iran, true now Novosti most likely might be wrong, but see time will tell, denials are just words facts are proven with actions and for that we need to wait.
Its still utter BS because you’re trying to make it appear its speculation or projection by giving it a time frame. You should be frank to write and explain clearly that what you’re saying is projection or speculation.
That still does not make it a fact. You are reporting as if a deal has already been made, not because that a deal can be made in the future. Truth is not retroactive. If a real deal happened in 2013, that does not make the report of a deal that you claimed to happen in 2007 to be true.
That’s wishful thinking, that’s spinning and that’s bending the truth.
You really have no standards in dealing and management of information.
Flogger, B*****.
The report isn’t saying something about a few years from now. It is saying something about now.
You’re twisting the facts again. Something that may occur in the future is not proof of this report. If China sold J-10s to a future Iranian government, that has nothing to do with this report now. That will be a separate matter entirely. Things have to be taken one by one. The report went on to number the quantity of J-10s and the price, which will always be different deal to deal. You think you’re fooling people with this sort of dislogic? Stop spinning. An event is an event. It is either true or not.
Even if the Chinese politician is not credible, other political bodies, news media and analysts, are not supporting it. There is no official Israeli response, there is no official US response, no media response from the US military, no response from the Iranian government, no response from Jane’s and other publications, no response from armstrade groups. nor even leaks and rumors from BBS sources which have been surprisingly consistent in the past. You can always check for the facts by cross referencing with other sources, and that is not happening here, so there is no alignment or cross reference to prove it.
You have no idea about international transactions do you? When you have an arms deal between two countries, you cannot deny it because that is observable. Did the Chinese government ever denied they sold patrol boats to Iran? No. Did Iran tried to hide it? No. Armstrade is very visible and there is accounting on both parties. If there is actually something there it would show. You think 24 J-10s can be hidden completely from intel if they were actually sold? Why would you deny something that will only mean you are going to be shown wrong later, huh?
The fact remains that such deals and transactions are verifiable in multiple ways including formal channels and intelligence, and Novosti reported based on a rumor. This is just part of a long series of slabs that show media incompetence.
Russian government is also not considered reliable in the West, especially after that spy related poisoning. As for Olympic boycotts, so what, same thing happened in Moscow and in Los Angeles.
Oh I see now, and you think the Russian goverment and media is very truthful as well? So you’re country bashing now?
You’re caught supporting a lie. That’s the bottom line. Go prove your Iranian J-10s today and tomorrow. Wake up believing that someday it will come. Must be very uncomfortable for you to see your illusions being destroyed and your dreaming unfulfilled on a day to day basis.
I’m not holding my breath.
Novosti and Kommersant have the responsibility as printed media to CHECK the facts before they print.
Obviously, they don’t have such a policy.
Remember that when discussing news from these sources.
Credibility is something you earn on record and lose on record as well.
