Also RAF Millom Museum, a small but interesting museum, and i believe there is going to be a small museum at Walnet Airfield in the not to distant future. The first exhibit is a Tornado which should arrive in March.
I’m sure the team for RIAT will be doing their upmost to get one or two over here like they probably have done for the last god knows how many years, all we can do is cross our fingers and pray!
All i’ve been told is that a B-26/A-26 flew over Spadeadam range on 3/2/05 at 3000ft en-route to carlisle, i will however be phoneing the airport to see if anyone knows anything shortly.
Just a couple of additions to Walney show, on 16th July, RAF Falcons and Grob Tutor displays. 🙂
That should of read ‘cut open a corpse, live on tv’. I was thinking of ofering my services as i’m not too bad at drawing, but having missed the first one of the series i’ve found out about ‘Dennis’ the nude male and have since gone off the idea. lol
As long as they get it back in the air, thats the main thing, and although it wont be in an authentic scheme at least Red Bull aircraft always look good, like the Sea Vixen.
I know the C-45 Expediter/ Beech 18 formerly known as ‘Southern Comfort’ went to Ireland (not sure which part), but apparently the owner underestimated the amont of work needed on it. Proplover might know more info?
Nice to see some additions today, Anthony Hodgsons Spitfire TIX, Harvard and Chipmonk will be on show, just the Spit in the flying though.
Proplover ……… i look forward to that tour ! 😎 🙂
Welcome aboard, looking forward to the show, see you there! 🙂
MOTF,
that village fete was Clophill in Bedfordshire, absolutly brilliant event as you mentioned B1’s x2, B-52, FA-18s x4 (canadian), F-16’s, KC-135 etc anyone know why it never happens anymore?
The UK (well give it another 10 years with more government cutbacks)lol
Oh and I reckon there was a touch of irony about the original F-16 question.
Agreed, but you have got to play along, it’s part of the fun
Why is it if there are 3x F-16’s at a show people complain, yet at Legends there are usually 10 x Spitfires, 5/6 Mustangs, 3/4 Hurricanes i just dont get it LOL
More info for Walney………
BBMF + B-17 confirmed, DC-3 + Anson from air atlantic, Utt-Butts x2, plastic Typhoon and they are chasing the real example (should get it, show sponser is BAE). Free entry, small charge for car-parking.
F-16’s at Cosford, i might be wrong but never usually, a couple of years ago they had a Mirage 2000. F-16’s also at Sunderland usually both Dutch and Belgian and sometimes one at Eastbourne. The Elvington F-16 last year was the first time one attended their so no guarentees for this year.
