Apparently not quite as straightforward as one would think, it can depend on the circumstances of the individual in question apparently. I was told this by a law lord who is the brother of a friend of mine.
I thought the flyglobespan was a nice shot.
Yes it is a shame – progress or what passes for it. It looks like it would have been a pleasant place to have been posted. Thanks for the pictures.

After reading this thread this morning, I saw “Wings over Wiltshire” in a bookshop this afternoon and there is a good picture of the airfield with Stonehenge nearby on page 33.
Excellent shots. Apart from the aircraft, you can tell they weren’t taken in the UK by looking at the clear sky:D
Just got back from Krakow today. Visited the museum on Monday and it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it. My daughter and I were shown around by a very helpful and pleasant volunteer called Barthek who asked if I would like to sit in the Spitfire cockpit which I did. I was surprised at the space in it as I thought it would be more cramped. There is also a small cafe there. It is a shame these places are not visited by more people althought there were a few people looking around when we left and what looked like a class of school children. It was our first visit to Poland and we found the Polish people to be warm and friendly. If you want to have a good cheap holiday with aviation thrown in, you could do worse.
I would certainly uphold the right of the woman to express her opinion, but having just returned from Krakow this morning after a visit to Auschwitz, I would like to say to the woman, after having stood with my daughter on Sunday morning at the site of Crematoria V at Birkenau, with mass graves nearby: this is what mass murder is and this is what Harris was fighting against.
All being well, I shall be there on monday morning! 😀
Love the packet of crisps shot:D I was down in Salou last year but I have to say I did not like the place much and there was not much to see at Reus. I remember a couple of of yellow seaplanes which we passed on our way to take off.
You can book car parking through loads of different companies (easyjet being one of them) but at the end of the day they are all for the same car park at the airport.
I’ve parked my car many times at Bristol airport, and when doing so I usually just go straight to their home page in order to book it.Adam
Thanks Adam – Easyjet is who we are flying with so I will do it through them. I just find it all very confusing.:confused:

Does anyone have any Bac 1-11 stories or photos to tell or show if you have photos please email me.I hope i can say that my jaw will drop if i get some old photos .
I have a picture of an Austral 1-11 taken in the late sixties. I seem to remember posting it on here ages ago. I am on holday at the moment so will have a dig around when I get back. I would have thought Airliners.net would be the place to go.

Its a spectacular setting for a Display. I was lucky enough to be working in the Channel Islands in around 2000 and flew from Guernsey where a B17 was sitting to Jersey on the Air Display Day and it was clear blue sky. My work consisted of sitting outside with a sandwich and a few glasses of beer until late afternoon, then off to the airport for the journey home to Edinburgh via Bristol. Before you say it my “client” was watching the display also!
🙂
Its a hard life Robert!!:D:D
Lovely nostalgic shots Marauder thanks for posting them. Also T-21 thanks for the background info – where do you dig it up from?? Every time I try to look information up on (especially the foreign regs) I never get anywhere.
Nice shots Si. I like the third pic especially.
