Atlanta always struck me as a peculiar destination to serve from Edi, I would have thought Los Angeles or one of the Florida airports would attract more custom both ways.
My Bro in Law and I went for the Grandstand one year but quite frankly I don’t think it was worth the money. Another alternative if you don’t mind roughing it is camping at Fairford but I have just heard that Kempsford is sold out I know there is another site further along from Kempsford and I think one to the South of it as well.

What is the prob with your tickets? Perhaps someone here could help.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the kind offer. Well, basically my daughter and I were on our way to Stansted to fly Ryanair to Krakow for a weekend break going friday returning monday. We were approaching a roundabout in Newbury when a woman pulled out in front of us and we had no time to stop so we crashed into her. No one was really hurt but we were all shaken up pretty badly. The trouble was we could not continue to Stansted in our car as it was too badly smashed up and by the time everything was sorted out (car taken away to garage etc) we would have missed the flight so I am throwing myself on the mercy of Ryanair and asking if I pay a fee/difference in price if we could still utilise the tickets in a couple of weeks time but I have to say I am not hopeful, otherwise its nearly 200 quid down the pan.
Thanks again for your kind offer of help.
Best Regards
Keith (OG)
PS This is the 3rd crash in just over a year that I have been in and I was only driving in one of them
Good luck sending a registered letter to Dublin and ensuring any proof of delivery.
I have tried to do it before but their postal system is no where near as good as Royal Mail.
Mind you, you can send a letter with just someones name, country and basic area description and it will get there!!
Hi Andrew,
Well it’s on its way – I posted it yesterday. But when you say their postal system is nowhere as good as Royal Mail, then it must be really really bad as two weeks ago I was down at my main PO here in Hungerford complaining about a chequebook that was sent to me but never arrived and a CV I had posted to Basingstoke never arrived at its destination either. Failing all else if I don’t hear anything by friday I will try and call them:confused:
Cheers

Perfecto Kicks – and yes you are right, with the problem I have with the tickets I am going to need plenty of luck because I have no legal recourse.
Thanks

Amazing how difficult it is to find the address of a large company! Their solicitors are Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White of One Ropemaker St., London, EC2Y 9HS. Their e-mail is http://www.Howrey.com, good luck!
Many Thanks Newforest, I will contact them on Monday.
The J 79s made quite a racket but for me there is nothing like the Spey engined Phantom to give an impression of real power:D
As per my comments on part 1 – superb. Keep them coming.

Yet another superb report PlaneHunter, I was thinking of a holiday later in the year in Sri Lanka and this gives me a good idea of what to expect on Sri Lankan as I was wondering what they were like.

I was paying my respects at someones grave in Newbury recently and looking at a few of the other headstones and memorials, I saw one of a baby who had died aged 7 months with a sign beside it asking that whoever was stealing the toys left at the grave to please leave them alone which was quite sickening.
I don’t honestly know if general standards of behaviour are getting worse but it certainly seems that way.

I meant to add (presumably p****** off Bournemouth fans) that the terminal at Bournemouth is like four nissen huts shoved together. Not good for an airport now handling almost 1M pax a year although I gather plans are in the pipeline for a new terminal. The disapointing terminal was offset by the magnificent sight of the Qatar B747SP VP-BAT parked on the other side – sadly too far away for a decent picture with my camera.
Ivan,
Nazareth playing here in Aberdeen tomorrow night at the Beach Ballroom – a stones throw away from where a Scottish “lady”, probably smelling strongly of that certain beverage, will ( for a fee ) adopt you for about an hour !!!!:D 😀
I didn’t realise Nazareth were still going.
Ivan – where is John Martyn on your list?? 😀

For me the best war film I have watched so far. Excellent. I remember when it was first shown and making sure I got back in time from my shift to catch each episode.
