    Hi Chris,
    I am no great shakes on the photography side but I know someone who is and he prefers to stay mobile. I did once pay for the FRIAT area but decided against doing it again as I felt it was not worth the cost. I have attended almost every Air Tattoo since the Greenham days but it is not what it was of course but just having stumped up a painful £49 for my ticket on the internet this arvo, the prices don’t get any cheaper although I should have done something about buying them when they were cheaper. Still no news on US participation in the list yet.
    My overall advice though is buy the standard ticket and keep mobile.

    DCW and Tangmere1940 – thank you both for the responses. I will have to get hold of a copy of Nigel Parker’s book. By odd coincidence I went into town this afternoon and bought the latest copy of Aeroplane and near the back in the questions and answers section is a piece about this very aircraft plus a photo.

    Great perspective – on some of the ground shots you would be hard pushed to say it was Edinburgh.

    Viscount – sorry to be a pain, it is still coming up invalid file. When I put this in

    an extra http:// comes up at the beginning so I have tried taking this out but to no avail – what do you think I am doing wrong?
