Not Newcastle, thats for sure! Big red fences everywhere.
Durham Tees Valley isn’t so bad, but I don’t know what the security is like there – ie. do they move you on because you’re close to a fence….?

He isn’t happy in the job he’s got. It’s possible psychological revenge against his team (if he has been allocated to one), poor mentoring, poor training, out of date training and documentation.

Its not that… Its the fact that schools, colleges and other training providers who receive budget based on retention and achievement (ie.99% of them) are forced to ensure that everyone that comes in the door, leaves with a qualification. The net result is that the qualifications are not worth the paper they are written on, and the varying industries are struggling to cotton on to the fact that the qualification does not mean the candidate is useful, just that he has been to a college. The employers need to become informed of individual attendance statistics, performance, ability, etc. They don’t get that currently…. I personally would like dialogue with the employers in my industry when employing a former student. I would not hesitate to give an accurate reference.

For the most part, the scumbags rioting over the last few days have claimed no future… well, there are plenty of jobs out there. I’ve turned down two this week alone! They claim that they cannot get into college…. bollox. All under 18’s get free courses (first at any level is free), with a replacement for EMA in operation they can easilly get said useless bit of paper. If they try really hard and prove that they are worthy of recognition, they will get a glowing reference which will assist in getting a job. What they lack is social discipline because of the culture that their PARENTS have accepted as normal..

For over 18’s it is slightly different – most, it appears, have a mis-spent youth and only now realise that they’ve ******** their own lives up. Still can’t get to college?… rubbish. Most Job Centres will be able to find free or very cheap full or part time short courses which can lead to bigger and better things. Can’t get a job? …. bollox too. Try working as a building site labourer, plenty of manual jobs around which don’t need quals. What they need is discipline, ie. turn up, do your job, go home. One issue is that they can claim more in benefits than they could earn on a minimum wage. What they lack is also social discipline because of the culture they have accepted as the norm.

    Spanners. End of.

in short, none in private hands with the exception of a handfull of hunters. I think its a fair statement that there are no civilian owned military aircraft which are capable of carrying arms without major work. Perhaps the Bronco would be capable, but thats it. Forget 558. Forget Victors. Forget anything that has been ‘restored’ by private individuals or museums…. or transported by road by aforementioned collectives.

Agreed. Parents and the general work ethos is to blame rather than either the education system, police, or otherwise.

Half of my students only turn up for the free money on offer. Since killing off EMA, intakes are down, spookily. Besides the point here….

Political correctness cares for the criminal more than the victim. It is my human right not to be burned to a crisp in my own home, or have it burglarised, and so on. Who cares? No-one.

How can we fix the problem? Easy – allow the police to use their PROFESSIONAL JUDGEMENT and fixed RULES OF ENGAGEMENT … and arm them properly, with real shooters! If prisons were all run like Colchester (military) nick, there’d be almost no re-offending. Removal of someone’s human rights by illegal activity – forfeit your own.

My views on the initial incident, the fatal shooting of Mr. Duggan….. IF he was carrying that ILLEGAL FIREARM which was LOADED and CO.CKED, then he forfeited his right to leave the scene without the risk of being shot. Hopefully the IPCC will find the true events went something like this:

Perp – “I have a gun and I’m going to commit crime with it. See how I’ve got a round in the breech. You’d better go away…”

    Police – “Bang, Bang”

I’ve seen pictures of a Jaguar on a motorway near Liverpool (I think) before it opened, but most likely just a publicity stunt . Harriers of course could have used anywhere….

    It won’t last long.

(Plus you’d never be able to tell the difference in either Newcastle OR Sunderland on a normal night….. Riot? Where?… this is normal for the Bigg Market / High Street West! *delete as appropriate) 😀

I take back what I said about us Northerners being removed from this lot of events. I’m hearing rumours of Sheffield and Newcastle kicking off. Apparently shops in the centre of Newcastle have been ordered to close.

2nd hand info here though. Northumbria Police website / Twitter / facebook claim all is quiet, BUT is 2 hours out of date.

edit. As of 2230, NCL is quietish. Copper chopper is buzzing about, but no reports of any more than the usual theiving scumbags about.

You could never land a Typhoon or Tornado on any motorway in Britain. Not without being caught by a speed camera.. 😀

“Do you KNOW what speed you were doing, Sir?”…………

Anyway, the country must be pretty bad to contemplate using re-activated fields. There are plenty of Civvie airports
