Too big for an uplock microswitch.
Ident light is my guess. Unless you know of a type where the morse key was mounted in the control panel and not bench mounted.
JP downward ident light was a simple switch, so this thing is pre-1950s.
edit: try this for an idea, half way down the page: British RAF identification light key.

Elvington don’t have a Guppy….
There’s your problem -you were in the wrong county!
Its a good one. Mine is a simple spirit level – 3″ glass (Uber accurate though)… that one can be set to the minutes by the looks of it.

Linton Blades = JP. Here’s a spotty one at Finningly
museums get out of use airframes. FACT. BN is still in uniform. I’d say the fact that she is still in theatre saving lives is more important than her being in a museum. Provided she survives, she’ll be preserved. Have patience.
Phil, whilst on the subject – any chance of getting our guys up there? It would be quite a publicity coup.
One leg, a sword and a big ship. Just tell him you’re from the East India Trading company and you know Johnny Depp….
As for Neil’s Vampire, wave some garlic at it… or some anti-Venom…
😀
I did have 3 Chipmunks on the drive at one point……….
Get in rentokill. Chipmunks don’t like rat poison, so your infestation should go quickly.
If you have a jaguar on the drive, I can recommend a decent game hunter…
Young Shaft there does seem to be going backwards… Start with a complete aircraft, next a cockpit… now Neil – would you like to buy a Hydraulic pump?
I have a few drawings of the fin and rudder, general arrangement drawing and few other odds and sods, plus some flight test articles and a mountain of photographs.
Firebex, at some point in the near future I’ll invite you up to the Academy to discuss the other project but remind me on and I’ll bring my Whirly archive – bring a data stick…. 🙂
Section 550 of the Edmonton Land Use Bylaw Number 5996 was passed by City Council in 1981, establishing the land use Zone (MA) – Municipal Airport Zone governing land uses at the Municipal Airport. In 1989, a 0.6 hectare site was redistricted to DC5 (DC2) to accommodate light industrial uses.

It looks like the land was re-designated from that of historical interest to commercial airport use.
Thing is, how many aviation museums can you have and stay viable?
one in every conurbation / large town, two or three per county (dependant on size and heritage links). One at Binners would be welcomed.
