A DC3 and Dragon Rapide will also be there
Doing pleasure flights 😎
Mike J. You are obviously not a regular visitor to VAC events
Yes, it is out now. Son got his last Saturday. Try MCP or Old Crows Trading.
Ditto!!
Arm Waver.
Twin Pin and Prentice: That was a nice surprise to see them at Finmere that time; must have been on a training sortie.:D We had a Dakota come to a PFA Strut flyin at Tatenhill once.:D
no tin, for a start, no nose wheels
Sorry; can’t agree with that.
Although I am not a VAC member and it is non of my business and also I am not anti anything in aviation this is what I would like to see.
As we are talking about a VAC event then it is only fair that VAC members and Vintage or Classic aircraft have first shout, with the emphasis being on the aircraft. Banning tin and tricyle gear a/c would stop Cessna tail wheel a/c; Cessna 120/140, 190/195 and Luscombe Silvaires and even PA22 Tri-Pacer, from comming, not to mention the Spitfire and Dakota (I can dream can’t I?):) 🙂 😎
Far better to accept production aircraft only if they are more than 50 years old, i.e. a build cutoff date of 1954, and only only accept homebuilt aircraft if the design is pre 1950. This would allow some Aircoupes, Jakaroo and Pietenpol to creep in – I am sure there are more.
Lets hope the issue can be resolved in a satisfactory manner.

Here’s a couple of G-HART at Coventry. Have got more if you are interested.
I consider this thread is in bad taste.:(
Here’s my offering. As you can see I built an internal shelter within the barn and it has paid dividends in that I can get the temperature at around 10 to 15 degrees C above the outside temp. With the addition of a fridge and cooking facilities there is no need to go home – loos to far away though.

The very first time I flew was in a Hermes, out of Blackbush,
on the 23/10/1953 at 01:25, after a two week delay due to fog. I was sitting behind the wing and could see these jets of blue flame appearing from under the trailing edge – very impressive but for someone who didn’t know better, a little unnerving.
Still see the odd DC3 or DC6 comming out of Coventry at night flaming nicely. Run up a Tiger Moth at dusk and that even flames.

Ahhhhhh , I remember – Wigglesworth of the (in)famous epoxy thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it became quite sticky at times didn’t it.
Unfortunately too many people need to be protected from their own stupidity and from other peoples stupidity. Look around you any day a it is painfully clear.

Nearly got it right – it was Wigglesworth on the PFA forum.
Dear Mr Weaver, what on earth has the R22 got to do with the PFA or even the EAA in the States?
Daz
Told you so!!:D
