Hi
Hopefully Thomas Cook Holidays will build on their success they are having at Leeds/Bradford this summer with using Independent Airline in the form of Astraeus again next summer.
This summer they have upgraded aircraft from B737-300 to the newer and longer range B737-700NG and have also added 4 Greek flights. Heraklion-Crete, Rhodes, taken over the Zakynthos-Zante flights and have added a second weekly Corfu flight against the long establish Thommos flights.
I think tommyinyork may have been refering to what happens if a plane is fully converted to freighter configuration, like the B747F or B757F
Hi Guys
Don’t forget its not Channel Express (Bournemouth) anymore. The Dart Group plc Aviation division now trades as Jet2.com Ltd based at Leeds/Bradford Airport.
So Jet2.com now do in fact operate freight aircraft as follows. Boeing 737-300SW, G-CELW is pure freight ONLY aircraft. Where as the others G-CELA, G-CELP, G-CELR, G-CELY, G-CELZ are QC variants and so is the newest arrival to the fleet G-CELO. These Quick Change Aircraft can be changed from a Freight config into a 147 seater Passenger config in about 45 mins.
Hi All
Here’s a late flight I decided to fly from Newcastle down to Bristol last night in a Easyjet B737-700 (Modeled by Project Opensky)
Roll down the main runway at NCL.
Into the climb to a cruiseing altitude of 26,000ft.
Into a Left hand turn a Pole Hill (VOR)
Cruiseing along with the sun fadeing away quickley.
Setting up for an ILS approach into Bristol.
Down for another quick 25 min’s turn around before setting off home back to NCL.

Hi All
I’ve Just flown from London Gatwick (First time I’ve used the Gatwick Pro scenery) up to Leeds in Channel Express’s all Freight configured Boeing 737-300 G-CELW.
As it happens, She is currently sat up at LBA in the multiflight Hanger. Along with here sister ship B737-300QC (G-CELP) working for Jet2 again.
Anyway here are the pic’s I took.

I do know they where landing on Runway 32 yesterday. As I saw most arriving aircraft on final approach going over the pub down in Headingley.

Well Blackpool Airport won’t be named after Jo Whiley afterall
Though she is to have an Blackpool airport based Jet2.com aircraft named after her.
[QUOTE]Fly Jo Whiley!
Blackpool Airport has well and truly won the bidding war for Jo Whiley’s affections after their favourite airline (Jet2.com of course!) announced today that they are naming an aircraft after the popular Radio 1 DJ.
Though sadly there will be no Jo Whiley International Airport in Blackpool there will be the Jo Whiley, Jet2.com’s most famous aircraft, based at Blackpool Airport.
Below is a picture showing what Jo Whiley’s aircraft could look like!
Book now for our newest destinations from Blackpool – Amsterdam & Faro, and you too could be taking a low cost ride on the inaugural flight of the Jo Whiley!
