LBA flights have also changed from next winter 2006/07 season. They are now operateing as follows. Twice weekly Tuesday and Fridays. While in December a 3rd weekly flight will operate on a Sundays for 3 weeks over the Christmas period.

    Flight times as follows

    Leeds/Bradford – Tenerife South
    -2–5-7 19:15-23:40 LS223
    Tenerife South – Leeds/Bradford
    -2–5-7 13:45-18:30 LS224

Look out cause there’s a lot more to come still yet. Even More caneries flights to the other Islands. Including Las Palmas and mybe Arrecife. By the way Manchester will not be getting a Tenerife flight. As Airlines have this route alraedy covered two much.

You can now download them from the avsim website. It took me several times to get the download of the Virgn Blue B737-800 to work due to overloading on the site.

Now I’m off to test fly the thing to see if its as good as the other Posky models and all the other Boeing 737’s out there.

    Screen shots coming up later.

    Hi

Your in for a culture shook when you arrive in banjul. (Thats if the new terminal buliding is’nt open yet.) Because when a mate of my went he showed me pictures off passengers picking there luggage up from a 50 year old Van. Not the normal way and the coach to the hotel have no air conditioning. The buses are about 20/30 years old.

On the way home it got even better. When you check-in you have to put your luggage onto the back of the Baggage truck. Then open it up because they are no X-Ray machines. (So don’t put any pad looks on your bags) Then the departure lounge is more like a cattle shed. Your outside with only a tin roof covering you. Good for the spotter though. Get stood on the brick-wall in this cattle shed and you can watch an approaching aircraft from about 15 mile out.

By the way there is not duty free shops or anything like that. Only Gambian solders watching you with rifles all the time.

Anyway I hope you have a good holiday mate. It’s bloody good down there. As I have been told.

PS. Watch out for the Black-outs. Power goes off at least 2/3 times a day. Also don’t wonder off the Hotel complex without one of the local tour guides. As you’ll get people coming up to you asking for Money and or even trying to mug you ok.

A330-300: Very nice mate. Were you by the tunnel by any chance?

I was up near the cemetry today, By the 14 Loop.

Mark L: Great stuff, are you going to be about tomorrow?

No Can’t get up tomorrow Mark. Got a small day job to do. I’ll be up on Saturday though. Need to get some photos of the Austrian Arrows Fokker 70, Thomsonfly B737-800 and the Astraeus B737-700.

Would BY fill 4 load fulls of Palma bound 762s in one week

    Hi Tommy

Well if Jet2.com can fill 14 weekly B737-300’s or even some B757-200’s from LBA to PMI at low fares i think Thomsonfly will have no problems with filling just 4 weekly B767-200’s at low fares.

Also add to the fact that they are also offering the normal Thomson package Holidays. So i don’t see a reason why not.

Anyway heres how the new revised LBA summer 2006 programme looks like. 45 weekly flights is alot better than last years 37 weekly flights.
