    Hi

Just found out who is roumored to be starting long haul transatlantic Charter services from Leeds/Bradford Airport. Thomas Cook Holidays are said to be looking at Starting flights from the Summer 2007 season. At the moment sounds like both Orlando (USA) and Toronto (Canada) to be each operated Fourtnightly by the Thomas Cook airlines own Boeing 757’s.

Can anyone comfirm this is it?? Cause i’m not 100% as yet. Just look at what i got told last year (FCA looking at Baseing aircraft at LBA) And we all know what happened. Knothing.

You got to go experince LBA on a cold and windy day. Then you see the airliners having fun and been knocked about alot with cross winds on final approach. Sometimes i wonder how they get in. I really do.

    Correct PMN.

    LBA – YYZ

At the moment 2 Operators are said to be intrested in operating this route. Both would be using the same weekly flight. Air Transat and Globespan Holidays are not the intrested parties as well, Becasue they don’t want to bring their Large Airbus A310 or the A330’s to Leeds.

British Airways Citi Express operated services to Dublin, Belfast and London City with the BAe Jetstream 41’s. They ware also considering Edinburgh and Glasgow but these never meterialised.

Aer Arran also operated Dublin with Shots 360’s, One even Crashed at Sheffield Airport. This Short’s 360 frame is now at Leeds/Bradford as the Fire training frame.

Sabena operated a 2 times daily Brussels service but then went bust. While KLM operated Fokker 50’s 3 times daily to Amsterdam. These flights were moved to East Midlands. But don’t even exsist anymore.
