Belfast is the obvious one, but I hadn’t a clue what DTV was until I went to type “whats DTV?” and its Durham Tees Valley (MME) or the cities actual name, Teeside
Hi
Can I just say that Teeside isn’t a city? Durham is now the name of a county! Tee-side Airport is the closest to Darlington town centre which use to be part of the old North Yorkshire along with Middlesborough until the changes to the regions in the late Eighties/Early nineties
Now Teeside/Darlington and are Middlesborough classed as the county of Durham.
I think that makes sence. If anyone can help if i’m wrong please do so.
HI
I’ve been up to LBA today and Rumour has it that Eastern Airways are looking at a LBA-Cardiff service
This might have something to do with Eastern having a spare BAe Jetstream 41 aircraft at the end off this month. This is the aircraft that currently operates the Norwich – Manchester service that has just been axed due to competition from Flybe’s new NOR-MAN low cost service
Anyone like to add comment????
LBArules write: When do the Astraeus flights to Corfu and Verona begin?
Next weekend for the Verona flight while Corfu starts on Friday 26TH Due to Thomas cook putting it on sale so late. Next year the CFU service will run all season.
By the way the Based AEU B737-700NG is due delivery to the LBA base this evening, intime for the over night Las Palmas Service. This should stop the required fuel stop at faro. Which the B737-300 has to make.
Hi
Come on guys. You need to start doing some searches through the archives on this forum. If people did take time and looked up history in this forum they might just learn a little bit. This might seem hash, but its the truth
As Tom/LBArules say There is a good thread alreay going on about LBA here http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=56674
Really Think before posting a new thread. Your question might have already been answered. If your not sure look at the forum guide lines which are very basic really. Its not that hard.
PMN wrote: Why was the Spanair A320 facing south-east in the loop? Shouldn’t it have been pointing the other way? I’ve never seen that before!
Paul
Hi
He (Spanair) made a wrong turn when back-tracking runway 14. He was to use the loop to turn a round for full length use of 14 but instead missed the first right into the loop (Echo 1) and turned into the second right (Echo 2) instead hence the reason why he was facing that wrong way in the loop.
So for that mistake, He was then made to wait until ATC go let him go. Which was about 15 minutes delay due to a lot off movements at the time. ATC let the bmi A320 to LHR & Astraeus B733 to ZKY depart and then a Jet2 B737-300 Landed.
Hi LBArules/Tom
When are we going to get our 737-700!?
The latest I’ve heard today is that the AEU B737-700NG is expected to arrive LBA sometime Saturday evening in time for the Las Palmas departure all acounts. Otherwise the flight will again go via Faro, as did last weekends flight. Also Last weekends sunday flight to Cyprus-Larnaca went via somewhere (unknown) for a fuel stop as well.
Until The B73G Turns up the B737-300 G-STRJ will be the LBA based aircraft from now on.
And heres the 2nd lot.

And thats it for today folks.
Fly Globespan to operate Liverpool-Tenerife daily. I wonder how this will effect the Charters from Liverpool to Tenerife.
Also this dose give Jet2 a bit off a serious compertition on its newly announced Blackpool – Tenerife twice weekly service. Blackpool have already lost it’s weekly Charter flights that were to be operated by Air Europa for Thomson Holidays.
Hi
Can anyone comfirm or update the following that was meant to be happening with jet2.com today at its LBA base and any info on the AEU ops.
1, Did the Nordic regional MD87 SE-RBA turn up for the start of its 2 month lease??
2, Did one off the B757-200 operate the New LBA- Dusseldorf route that started tonight as planned or did a B737-300 go??
3.Has the Astreaus B737-700NG turned up at LBA or we still been operated by that B737-300 G-STRJ in flybe colours??
