It appears were were posting at the same time Simon, I assume that the writing on the reverse of the first photo lists the crew lost in the accident pictured in your previous post?

Hi Simion…
First off, as the link in your previous post doesn’t work, here’s one that does:
http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=110870
Also, the Do17 pictured in bits may be this example:
Do17P-1, WNr.4086 coded ? of 3.(F)/123 – near Jersey Island – 01-Nov-40 – 100%, Crashed due to engine failure [Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #2)-Vol.3]
Crew Killed
Werner Kramer (F)
Ltn.Wilhelm Gรถhringer (B)
The only other Do17P loss I can find associated with Jersey was a 30% loss on 19-Feb-41 due to pilot error when landing. Its clear to me that the photos above show a 100% loss with fatalities…

I actually meant wartime photos of WNr.1190’s tail Johan, this would confirm once and for all if the restoration was correct…

I’d be interested to see any period/archive images of the tail belonging to WNr.1190… not sure I found any when undertaking my research here on this airframe back in the mid ’90’s

Fantastic set of images again Brian… and what a lovely blue sky to shoot against! That was something at Duxford that sadly eluded me all the time I had decent camera kit…

Are we going to get a new thread on this accident every time somebody has an opinion? As Bruce quite correctly says, the only opinion worth any sort of discussion and debate is that from the NTSB… Thoughts and comments from anybody else, irrespective of their expertise in this subject, do nothing more than keep muddying the waters…

Many thanks for those Brian, (as usual) very nice indeed ๐
