That was the initial thoughts over on the LEMB but one member has made comment about the type seeming to have a “Cosandey flap on the rear wing” which in his book definitely made it “NOT a Pou-de-Ciel and could place it post WWII…”

Fantastic stuff as usual Brian, thanks for sharing 🙂 Could some kind soul save me the effort of firing up Google and fill me in on the identity of the Buchon in the first shot please?
TIA

Great struff chaps… 🙂
Thanks for the pointers with regards the correct fuselage codes Kenneth. It was the application of the swastika that confused me and led to the conclusion that they were both being used for film work. Do the schemes both are finished in look authentic for Flugzeugführerschule “A, or can we assume they were for the film too? It would also be great if we could nail the film…
AA – the swastika removal was done when they were being sold on eBay…

It all helps Adrian… so thanks! Having done a bit of Google search, it seems that the AA+ code was used on other post-war T-6’s too, as the shots of D-FWAC here prove…

Without going too far off topic, does anybody have any details on the Ju88 in the footage (loss details, WNr, unit & codes, crew etc)? Fascinating stuff! 🙂

Footage available on the BBC here in the UK

Not sure if visitors outside the UK will be able to view it though…

Many laughed at me wearing these in my lug holes because they thought its something to do with the engine noise…

But I know different… :diablo:
Maybe they should do something like they do at the cricket… issue cheap headsets on which those wanting to listen can, whilst the rest of us are left in relative silence to enjoy the growl of a piston or radial engine… (preferably a DB, but then I am biased!)
