The colour Fw190 images originated from the BattleGround Relics website. Here are direct links to the two Fw190 images:

Thanks for your thoughts Dave… we have a thread on this Staggerwing over on the LEMB here which has subsequently had some excellent additional info added… but we are still no closer to positively identifying this example. Is it just me or do the markings look clandestine?

🙂 Thanks for the feedback guys… I’ve been through the various permutations of what the serial *could* have been if it wasn’t P1766… but nothings comes even remotely close to providing the answer. Saying that, as my signature below may reinforce, this subject is way outside of my area of alleged expertise, hence my positing the enquiry here (the next best place). Thanks for the forum pointer avion ancien, when I get 5min later tonight, I take a look and see whether they can help. In the meantime, any further thoughts, comments or clarification would be great…

Superb footage and thanks for the link… 🙂
Does anybody have any details on the airframes history? The excellent Preserved Axis Aircraft website here says:
“G-STCH – Reportedly built in 1942, but the W.Nr 2088 is previously unknown (the 2000 block ran out in the 2070 range) and according to literature no A-1 version was built.”
Thanks in advance for any pointers…

🙂 Super image Augsburgeagle… I hadn’t realised that the RAFM opened her up from time to time or did you have special access? Also, any help with dates would be great too…
