Many thanks BB… 🙂
Looks and sounds like the growly Biggin Spitfire has just had a brief trip out west and back again over Caterham…
Spitfire just headed west across Kenley/South Croydon in a westerly direction… most probably one of the examples from Biggin…
Many thanks Newforest 🙂
Managed to find it… its G-VVBO a Bell Longranger II which is operating out of Redhill… so if anybody knows who’s operating this out of Redhill (I’ve checked GINFO) that would be great 🙂
Many thanks… I had seen on their webiste that they operate this type from Redhill, but the helicopter I’m looking for definitely looks more like a Jet Ranger than as AS350… it looks to have a dark blue scheme with gold piping and has been over my property 7 times today each time heading from the north (London) to south (towards Redhill)… unless there is another company running this route today?
Looks like a Hurricane heading east to west cross Purley… most probably out of Biggin Hill…
No idea if its still there, but put “19 1st Ave, Soweto 2013, South Africa” into Google maps for its location in December 2010, or the link below might help:
Many thanks ~Alan~ – so it belongs to Aces High then, as seen in various guises here 🙂
I saw the Dak heading back west too. As ~Alan~ mentioned in post #249, it appears she was attending both days at Damyns Hall, as advertsied here… and the Spitfire mentioned earlier has just headed back to the north of me, over Purley, heading east towards Biggin..
It was too far south of me to determine anything more than it was a Dakota with invasion stripes…
As I type, a Spitfire has just flown right above me, heading west across Kenley/Old Coulsdon… and around 5 mins later, what appears to be the same Dakota has just flown south of me heading east…
Dakota with invasion stripes just heading east over Caterham…
Spitfire heading east, possibly from Biggin, in a westerly direction across Caterham… and back again 15 minutes later heading towards Biggin…
Thanks for that Matt… I’ll be adding the link to the LEMB too 😉
Cheers
Pete
Possibly the same pair heading back in an easterly direction over Old Coulsdon/Kenley towards Biggin… goose bump time at the noise, shame about the slate grey skies 🙂
