Recently I noticed that there were direct flights from Edinburgh to Oslo by Norwegian that go to Gardermoen unlike Easyjet whose airport is 2 hours south of Oslo! I managed to view the collection a few days ago and some photos are here.
Lovely shots Robert, thanks for sharing them with us… do you have any objection to my reproducing the Ju52 & He111 shots on the LEMB? I will, of course, fully credit you and this forum as the source… and if you have any additional shots of their Luftwaffe exhibits, that would be good too 🙂

I’ve had a Spitfire departing in an westerly direction north of Kenley and then return back right over the top of my house heading East about half an hour ago. Judging by its rough growl, it appears to have been the same example, possibly out of Biggin, which I reported earlier in this thread (post #77 on 26/04)
We’ve discussed this modification over on the LEMB and having spoken with Ju87 expert/author Peter C Smith, he suggested to me that it was a field modification…

She has just come back straight over the house & towards Kenley at around 1000ft heading back East towards Biggin… and I couldn’t see any stripes…
Has TA805 currently got D-Day stripes? It was just a touch too high and silhouetted against a slate grey sky for me to be 100% sure… and she sounded a tad rough too…
Spifire just heading west over Coulsdon side of Kenley… probably departed from Biggin…?
Does anyone know more about the Bf 110?
We had a thread on the LEMB about this Bf110 and the following entry in “War Prizes” by P.Butler [Midland, 1994] states that:
I also found the photo linked below which shows what appears to be a production still showing the nose of WNr.180850

Still a bit strange that the Gemans painted the Dutch roundel above the fist 2 victory marks while the Dutch used a orange triangle during the time the 2 aircraft were shot down. ( A fokker T.V and a Fokker G.10
For additional info, from this article I wrote about WNr.1190 in the late 1990’s:
Good to see some images of this survivor too, so thanks to all who’ve contributed 🙂

This is one of my favourites… and is hung on the wall above my computer desk:

I have no business connection with the artist (other than he is a member of the LEMB) so I’d recommend checking out his website here for other aviation related artwork…
Can’t help with the map reference, but what are the fuselage markings on the Bf109 you have a photo of? For the record, Fw.Xavier Ray’s Bf109E-1 WNr.4034 was coded “Black 6+I”

Darren… its a Bloch MB157
What a fantastic story… to warm the cockles of the coldest heart. Well done to everybody involved, most especially to Ken for his unswerving dedication to ensure Doris was never forgotten… not much moves me these days, but this brought a lump to my throat…
Fairely decent source of photographs is Rods Warbirds and the link below takes you to his Ar234 offerings:
