Why not chuck a small handful of ‘beta’ versions to some of the ‘regs’ on here (on trust) for a quick opinion, or drag them round to yours for beers, steak pies and movies (+ opinions!).

Aaaaaaah G-AIDN. Twas the first Spitfire I ever saw. Rhoose Air Races back in the late 50s I reckon. She was in that light blue scheme as I recall.

Funnily enough I saw the Alaska based C133 commit aviation about 3 weeks ago at Anchorage. I’ll try and get some pics the next time I am there.

Ah yes the Seething brunch patrol. I remember it well.

I cloud hopped (in the Jungmeister) until directly overhead and then spiralled down to collect my free nosh! Mike Searle was in the FW and it may have been Jack Brown or Allan Trotter in the Christen Eagle I think.

    >>Are you saying that this only happened at Mildenhall?
You see I’m 99.9% certain I took the picture at Old Warden.

    Ooooooooerrrrrrrrrr!!

I take your point about the topside view and it being Old Warden however it is a standard display manoeuvre wherever you are. I called one of Spencer’s ‘old team’ earlier prior to posting my original comment and he was nevertheless certain it was the names in the seats that I quoted. Being old has certain privileges….amnesia is one of them and it was 22 years ago!

Spitcrazy is right on the money.

    Hunter: Stefan Karwowski
    Spitfire: Spencer Flack
    Sea Fury: Pete Shepherd

I remember it clearly as it was that weekend that Mike Searle was cleared in the Spit 14 and I was cleared in the Sea Fury.

Aaaaah………memories of huge petrol reserves at Mildenhall on the Friday for practice purposes.
