thanks for the opportunity to comment. I live locally (Shefford) so visit often, 3 or 4 times each season.

Don’t change too much! I would hate to see the OW shows get too big. For this year, I’ve never seen the Comet fly, only taxi so would be fantastic to see that this season.

I agree with others that it is unfortunate that the number of visiting aircraft has dropped off considerably in the last few years. I love the home aircraft but there is no where better than OW to see later types put throughtheir paces. Puts performance of all of the early stuff into perspective too. Highlights for me have been Black6, Mossie, Mustang, Hellcat, Bearcat and of course the Harrier.

Can you comment on whether we will see visitors like this in the future? I assume that cost is the key issue here?

My first ever post and its about my favourite subject!!

The pub in the previous post is the Hare and Hounds in Old Warden village. If coming from the A1 continue past Shuttleworth about 1/2 mile into the village and pub is on the left.

As a local, I would also recommend the White Horse in Southill. Not too far from Shuttleworth and nice food or The Crown in Northill.
