    Hello Folks,

Seeing this has prompted me to ask the question but does anyone know of a Wessex/Whirlwind that may be looking for a good home???

Anything considered but ideally, a complete airframe would be good!

    If you dont ask ……..

If you have a looked on Demobbed, there appears to be three Wessex at Badgers Mount in good condition and a Whirlwind at Orton, that could seriously do with a new home. Hope that helps.

What a great day ! Weather stayed good other that a short shower ! Well organised and lots to see ! Was wondering where the Buccs had been hidden then 1 followed by 2 appeared. Nice work.

Lots of new aircraft out on the pan and lots of old Faves. All taxi runs where brilliant, the Lightning put on a loud run and am still pulling grit out of me now from the Victor run.

Only place in the UK where u can get so close to the action. Love it.
Congrats to the BBMF too, great flypasts from the hurri and a great 2 Jp taxi run with the guest JP using it as a take off run.

To all at Bruntingthorpe, all your hard work payed off and thank you for a brilliant day.

Found some video showing Civil & military aircraft at Tripoli Airport. Some have escaped without damage while others haven’t faired so well.

Look on same Page for 2 other videos showing military aircraft and some more civil stuff

    Hi
Im not going to get bent out of shape about it but could you please remember the hunter is on private land and clearly marked no entry. As you are keen in aviation its no worries but the aircraft is in an unsafe state at the minute.
    Glad you enjoyed your trip.

    Regards

    Jon

I did enjoy my trip, my apologies and dont wish you to get bent out of shape. I didnt wish you ,your aircraft or your land any harm. All the very best with this worthwhile project.

Went for a drive yesterday around a few sites in Rural Lincolnshire. Can seriously recommend the Dambusters Inn in Scampton. Lots of history there and a great place to visit.

Travelled from here and popped down to Metheringham to the visitor centre, that was unfortunately closed, the spare Jet provost has been dismantled, the grey JP is looking great but where has the Hunter gone ?

The Lightning is looking great at Thorpe and the Kirkstead Hunter, now has a small fence around it.

All in all a good day and the Petwood was fabulous to relax in after all this.

Please see a few pics of the aircraft mentioned in my opening piece

I might take you up on that. I work at RAF Waddington but live at what was RAF Binbrook. Would love to come down. Many Thanks for your gracious invitation.

    XR724 in April Sun

Popped up to the ASP and to see 724. She is looking ok and looked after. Cant get over how empty the ASP is now and also the damage to the old LTF hanger after the fire last month.
