Are you actually suggesting that Ryanair aircraft are poorly maintained? Do they not meet your standard of airworthiness? Get Real!
Wasn’t saying that at all. I know that all aircraft to fly have to pass a airworthiness and pass other things to actually fly. I was saying that i would rather fly on a old, maintained plane than a beast that looks like it has just come out of Ikea manufacturing on the inertia.
The futrue Club World seats are here:diablo:
Their aircraft are old and have seen far better days
I would rarther fly on something old, knowing it has been maintained well, than fly on something that does, 14 hours in the air if not more, has a cheap and tacky cabin (more like a bus).
All i can say is i hope not. And plus i dont think the Yorkshire folk would like FR in LBA’S back yard. Plus LS has established a very good custmour base here in Yorkshire i would think how ever competative the FR fares are people will stick by LS.
And dont forget the EU or some other compnay is banning the wrong advertising of flights for a 1P, £1, £5 and £10 because in reality there are at least £75-85. Again this dosnt help out FR at all.
Overall i dont want to see there cheap, bus layout style aircraft in LBA at all, other than flights to AGP,ALC,DUB and SNN.
Or as heard today on Radio 4……”Ryanair looking to buy Stansted” God ‘elp us!
We’ve gone through the revolution of Low Cost Carriers, now welcome to the revolution of Low Cost Airports, were everything you sit on is well you get charged for sitting on it:diablo:
IN all honstey i hope FR dosnt get there hands on STN, what a lovley airport they are going to spoil if they do.
As someone said earlier i think that the Manchester Airport group should buy one or two of BAA maybe, gatwick and Aberdeen or something along those lines.
Your pilots will probably do UK-Tenerife-UK, and that’ll be it for the day.
With out a doubt. UK-Tenerife-UK can be at least 11 if not 12 hours on duty and that is just counting the hours flying(sometimes), where not even taking about clocking on(what a old frase), and hour and half before flight and the at least 45 minutes after the plane is landed. I bet a UK-TFS-UK can be in excess of 14 hours on a really really bad day.
It has this is to replace some older 744 which are becoming gaz guzelling.
773 on the JFK,LAX,SFO,SIN-SYD,BKK-SYD,NRT,DXB routes i would imagine.
from einstine (or how you spell it). Here it is
“Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things as a meaningful unity” – Albert Einstein
Which will hopefully just hasten their demise! 😀

To say i am not a FR fan that is a bit harsh. Maybe a bit more classier in the way they charge for stuff, so you dont get charged for check in (hey that is their job that is what they get payed to do so why in gods name are we paying into FR’S pocket when they are getting payed), charged for hold luggae (erm if you didnt offer soo many cheap flights in the first place you wouldnt have the dilemar:diablo:).
These two would of probably been the CHAVS of the flight you know the ones who are rude in everything they say, say dum comments, and basically get on the plane with the wrong attitude but because they havnt violated any regulations the captain can not chuck them off.
Shows how educated this folk are- i will try and open the door at 33,000FT
I Love that LS plane.
Could this possibly be a new livery for jet 2 in the futrue:diablo:
from London and was an hour away from landing at Hong Kong.
Wrong it had landed in hong kong, had the turn around and had taken off from HKG. It must of been like an hour and a half into the flight this incident happend.
If this had happend an hour away from landing in hong kong they would of landed in china.
The philippines is south of hong kong so this means that if they were an hour away from landing then they went the long way round, the very long way round. Unless your thinking of the other way round where it was heading to london and stopping in hong kong. Is that what you meant
I hate the way the media are making it sound 100 times worse.
It didnt plunge, it simply made an emgerncy decsent down to a level where the oxygen is at a breathable level(12000 FT Below). They did a proffesinal job and my hat goes off to both the crew (flight and cabin).
It simply had a decompression at 37000FT and the crew responded.
A question. Are the passangers/News readers told to blow things out of proprtion because they made it sound like the plane mearly fell out of the sky with words like Plunged, Uncontrolable etc.
I love that BD 321 and those NW DC10’S
Looks like they are using the Loader for containers to lower it down to the ground. I am usless at speaking spanish but it looks like they tried to remove the jetbridge away from the plane it has got caught somehow:confused:
