    Absolute zero sympathy.

At the end of the day the Captain is the one in charge of everyone on board, and if he orders the people to sit for there safety, you do so. If you ignore that, then you pay the consequences.

She will now be haunted for the rest of her life because she ignored the captains decision.

    I can smell $500,000 + coming her way for been a tw*t.

Thank You for Sharing those. I have total respect for all those who serve our country. I think we should treat our army like the American’s do- Heros. Pitty the Stupid Goverment thinks otherwise and would rather spend a Few Billion giving the Old CEO’s Of Banks a Nice Pension pot.

I read that trip report, and it would seem that this guy thinks he is IT.

According to him he also smuggled a Rabbit from TPE (the country) because it was going to be killed, skinned/boned and cooked (taste’s like chicken) to the United States of America. Knowing how strict America are when coming to their country i wonder how much of this was true

Anyway, I see at as good news because the more bad news and f**kups this airline makes, the more the public will become cautious about using them.

    Andy

100% Agree with you. Anyway i think this is just funny. No one was hurt, not plane got injured and no pilot got sacked. Not only that the passengers who were that desperate to get out of the cheap looking jet, got a shorter taxi time, soo all is good all round.

So let me get this right.

Mr. O’Leary shuts down check in because it “costs too much”. There is only one way to check in and that is to check in online which i would think is free.

No £5. So at the end of the day why close check in when it is the same amount to check in online and because its not free and there is no alternative now they will be making MORE profit than before.

    Yet another FR Scam!!!!

I think it is down to several reasons. Firstly the LF are good, but i don’t think BD are happy enough for the service to continue.

Secondly, i think the recession is a time for some business to re-structure, such as Industry and Aviation. While dropping LBA will be a big blow to staff the region and leeds, LH have better things planned for these slots and if they can make a bigger profit out of them, LH will.

Thirdly, i think LH is trying its hardest to get as much slots out of BD as it can, and i think it wont be long before LH are totally re-structuring all of BD’S domestic network. That way LH get there fair share of the LHR market, with both more short haul flights to MXP and Germany but also USA, which may be on the horizon.

To be Honest, i think LH/BD can make LHR-LBA flights work for several reasons. BD is well connected to its Star Alliance Network at LHR so that means that there is a chance to connect LBA with the Star Alliance Network. What BD could do is do a morning, afternoon and evening flight with a 320 or 319 see if that works.

MME doesn’t surprise me, i think MME isn’t a blow to the network at all. MME was effectively a Slot taker for BD. They wanted the open skies, so kept the slots for the flights to USA but have since but all there eggs into the Middle Eastern Network.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Flybe now expand at LBA. A possible link to LGW is a good start, but as someone pointed out who really wants to fly to LGW, especially when it is a good 40 minutes out of London, but you never know BE could make this route successful. I wouldn’t mind seeing BE open a base here. CPH was dropped by BD, that is another route that BE could make a success. GVA, MXP, JER, CDG, DUS, FRA are all good destinations for BE to start from LBA.

If the rumour is true (and it probaly wont be) but if it is, i wouldnt mind seeing Flybe expand LBA as a base (after they buy BD regional).

-Seasonal Flights to Austraia (Salzburg and Innsbruck) aswell as a link to Vienna, An expansion into Sweden, Channel Island’s.

Wouldnt mind also seeing what FR can do without been idiots (our airport get out tatics), Frankfurt Link certainly welcome, Possibly places in Italy where LS dont serve and expansion into Eastern Europe.

    Good on EI.

Wonder how BA will react becuase if EI have the backing of BA, FR might aswell go and whistle becuase its tough. If, EI has BA backing, will BA narow down its Network at LGW, and let EI grow at LGW, thus BA transfers all it passangers onto EI LGW Network and just keeps Long Haul.

And i also wonder how FR will react. Over the last few years they have stuck two’s up at LGW, they were not interested but now a competitor is at LGW that they want to buy (i wish them the best of luck, as that aint happening soon), will FR have an expansion of there own (typical FR bully boy tatics).

Did a EZY Flight from AGP divert into LBA?

I would of thought that LPL would be a Better divrsion and if that was bad then DSA.

ANother way of robbing 350 passangers who go to LAX, SFO etc you get my point.

About time we just had 3 taxes on plane flying- Short to Medium Haul, USA and that way, Asia/Far East and that way. Simple.

EDIT: I dont see BA doing anything to there 57, 18-8 Year old planes to make them greener. And it has been proven that flying is more efficent than car, yet he wants to sting people who fly on planes. pure:diablo:
