Just settling down to watch this on iPlayer; looks very good.

Slightly off topic, could anybody tell me the piece of music used at the very beginning? Its name escapes me.

    Thanks!

They also have a comparatively short flying display so they can’t adequately display the thousands of aircraft people seem to demand.

Saw her display at Cosford yesterday. Very nice display too!

I was always led to believe it was due to Britain’s comparative manpower shortage compared to the Americans. Easier to train fewer pilots. I’m sure somebody much more qualified will be along to verify.

I love how all the pilots are walking out past propellers whizzing away and the 747 Captain has to wear a high viz vest! Elf and Safety!

Just got back from the Cold War Jets Open Day. I was very impressed. I never got to see a Lightning fly and vaguely remember the Buccaneer setting car alarms off as it zoomed by when i was a very young boy.

I thought the event was very well organised but still had a laid back, relaxed feel with regards to inspecting the aircraft close up. I think parking the aircraft on the pan after their taxy runs was inspired.

Personal highlight was the Lightning, it felt like being punched in the chest when it whizzed by with full reheat!

Wow. I think i’d rather watch that one from the ground…from a safe distance.
