A few to mention, am sure there are plenty more that I have missed though:
Mew
Sigur Ros
Editors
The Boxer Rebellion
The Feeling
The Script
Local Natives
Sneaky Sound System
U2
…and Chris de Burgh (:o, but this was my first ever live concert I went to!)
Can’t wait until December as I am seeing Arcade Fire (1st) and Faithless (11th), both at The O2 in London.
Will be my second time this same year seeing Faithless as I saw them a few months back at Brixton Academy…just watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1sxd3Z9lvc, and see how the crowd are at 2:45…love it!

23 day stay in spray shop 3…In the same colour scheme it arrived in?? but very shiney ??
23 days……why so long for what is a relatively small aircraft by comparison to some of the stuff I have seen going in and coming out of there (thanks to your photos!;)).
And why the same livery…surely aircraft go in for a new paintjob, or am I missing the point here?
Ok, so its now been moved…to where G-YMMM was parked up after it was moved following its crash-landing (not sure if this is where the Trident was parked up, I was not into commerical aviation so don’t know anything about this…:o?)
Not sure that this allows for a good/better picture than its previous location, but BA seem to have a habit of moving “special” aircraft out of sight or to somewhere that just doesnt allow for decent photographs, which is really quite a shame.:(
In Ryanair’s Passenger Charter:
4. Notify passengers of known delays, cancellations and diversions.
Ryanair will notify passengers via the internet, email, text messages, at the Airport, or on board flights if they are affected by flight delays, cancellations or diversions.
And…quite clearly in their Terms & Conditions (something which you physically have to tick a box for saying that you have read and agree to it at the time of booking your flight!):
ARTICLE 7 — REFUSAL AND LIMITATION ON CARRIAGE
7.1 RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
7.1.2.4 you have committed misconduct on a previous flight, and we have reason to believe that such conduct may be repeated;
Think this helps to put this matter to bed.;)
Being reported now that the airport will remain shut until 12.00 noon tomorrow (20/11/10).
Any people due to travel from the airport before this time are advised to contact their airline.
A bit more on Aer Arann in the Echo today:
http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/local_news/southend/8632548.Ireland_next_on_Southend_Airport_s_destination_list/
Taken from the article in the link above…
Currently, Southend Airport runs commercial flights to destinations including the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, northern England and France.
…since when?
Another piece of quality journalism from the Echo there…not only does Southend Airport not operate the flights, the destinations are not even operated to/from Southend?
To answer Horse’s point about why the ‘protesters’ buy or live in property near an airport…you do have to remember that these people were probably living at these places before the airport announced its expansion plans. That said, you’ll probably find that these so-called ‘protesters’ will be the people who will end up using the services the most.
Indeed we should all have the right to fly if we wish, providing we have paid for a ticket, but just because we have bought a ticket does not give us the right to be abusive/rude to the staff that help to provide that service.
I think a blanket ban from any air travel in the future maybe a bit draconian, however, the airline in question does and quite rightly should be able to refuse to transport people if they have a previous history of causing disruption or being abusive/rude to staff.
One very good example of this type of action is when Naomi Campbell was banned from flying British Airways after she had a row with staff about lost baggage: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1584336/Naomi-Campbell-banned-by-British-Airways.html
And, sorry for all the questions, I assume that this is not standard practice across all airlines?
And if this is how they treat their flight deck staff, God only knows how they treat their cabin crew…probably even worse than the passengers that are flying with them…they really sound like a “monster” company to work for, and as I said above its a wonder how/why anyone would actually want to work for them?!
(Its probably a good job I don’t want to become a pilot as you can probably tell I would never make it through the first selection stage, let alone to the right-hand seat itself!:(:o)
Type rating – EU35,000 (it still is this), you can get a 738 Type rating on the free market for £21,000.
So, say for example…at the interview process (for which candidates have already paid £100 in order to get this stage!), there is one person who has a type rating that they got for themselves before applying to them, and another person who doesnt have a type rating…are they more likely to choose the latter person simply because they can get some money out of him/her, and even if the first candidate is actually more suitable for the role?
If so, this is surely discriminatory and blatently illegal?
Do we get a bank holiday????
 who cares
I do, if i get an extra day off.:D
So you really want to have an extra day off and are prepared to give up a days worth of wages/beer money for an event that is of little significance to you personally and that you unlikely to be invited to…thats a bit daft, isn’t it?
It’s only been a day and I’m already sick of hearing about it…!!
Yes, indeed I agree…but then again I like watching Sky News for hours on end so I kind of have to put up with it.;)

No, it wasn’t patronising at all, I well am aware that certain kind of stuff happens within Ryanair and other low-cost carriers, but I was not aware to what extent it happened…for example, my sister has just gotten a job as cabin crew with EZY, and she has to pay a monthly fee out of her wages for her uniform which I can just about understand (but only for the first 6mths or so or at least until they’ve paid the cost of it off!), but charging staff to simply have their wages transferred into their own bank account is beyond comprehension and is surely illegal somewhere down the line?
In Ryanair’s case…charging their pilots for their interview, uniform, training, type ratings, and hell, charging them to have their own wages transferred to their bank accounts.
Are you serious, as in this stuff really happens (), its a wonder how they have any pilots that actually want to work for them?!
Only taken them 5 years then…(judging from the date of the most recent and previous posts?)
I can’t help but think its a bit too late for them now because they are going to face major competition from the likes of Bombardier (C-Series) and Embraer (E170/190), all of which cover the 70-120 seat market, or am I wrong to think this?
