does anyone know the dimensions of the 3 main instrument panels in the Vulcan please? Imagine both marks will be the same so not bothered which one people quote 🙂 I have looked through the books I have but no joy….
Jon,
Check your PM’s, you have an unread message waiting.
😀
So if were now £50M or whatever, better off now the ‘mortgage’ is over where will that £ be put to better use ? NHS ? Schools ? Putting the TSR.2 back in production ? Or kicking the Taliban’s butt ?
Sorry folks. Doesn’t seem to be uploading. I’ll accept an offer to have them posted by Dave T. Wish me luck.

Druid,
Send me the photo’s and i’ll gladly post them.
Cheers…. 😀
Im pretty certain to say its a Jodel D18, which has been home built and probably unfinished (due to the ribs but no wing)
Humm, you could be right, especially looking at the cockpit sill (same upward sweep at the rear), although it looks like 3 spats are included.
Is there such a thing as a Jodel with tricycle u/c ? Edit: Yes, its called a D19
Edit: Found this….

What about the excellent SAM publications books. They do one on the Meteor. Not got that title my self. But got the Mossie one and Im sure they show drawings for the winch in that.
Yes it has, but i’m not gonna delete old photo’s in valueable threads just to get under Key Publishings new 5Mb attachment storage limit and load them here. But happy to email them of course 😉
.
I dont think the collection is open anymore unless by prior arrangement. I may be wrong though.
Correct..! 😉
.
well i deleted a number of threads and loads of pics including the airfield ID thread sorry guys :0( Still over quota so I guess no more posting pics on here for me….
Pete,
Trying registering afresh under a new name (you’ll need a different email addy handy though).
.
C-scale used to make a white metal TT.20 winch in 1/72. IIRC it came in a set converting 3 types of aircraft.
Similar to this item……..
.
Peter,
Ah glad someone mentioned this.
Apparently i’m over my quota as well, and despite deleting a load of old attachments, i still am.
This will surely wreck all the good ol’ threads such as ‘Scrapyard photo’s’ and ‘Panel projects’, thus making the forums search facility null & void 😮
As a way around this, i’ve registered under a different username to see if it will let a ‘newbie’ account post photo’s but still waiting for registration activation email.
😡
Vulcan XA893 photo’s ?
If Vulcan XA893 is a walk through exhibit, then somebody somewhere must have photo’s of the main panel layout/s ?
If so, can they get in touch please ?
😉
An email reply from Mr Spurr’s company ‘GroundEquipmentSupplies’……
” Many thanks for your email, however, as the plane is now on a high pedestal and the cockpit is sealed Mr Spurr is not interested in purchasing the instrument panel.
Best Regards

You can walk through the Vulcan b1 nose which has been modified so you can walk through the radome as well.
Rob,
Did you see that Vulcan nose – and if so, which building is it in plz ?

Vulcan B.1 reference
….that’s a strange statement. What do you mean with regard to the Canberra?

Well i thought that also, as the thread was about Canberra’s, but didn’t like to say anything for fear of being (indirectly) accused of not having physic powers again 😮
