Well, I was never a history student, I don’t remenber my history books having much about Portuguese colonies recente(1950…) history, there was much about the descoveries of those colonies but that was all, but I was born only in 1983, my father study all the colonies and even today he knows were Portugal was, maybe Filipe can help you the history part…

In the “war” Portugal-India, the portuguese troops were almost abondened by Portugal, the commander asked AAA and mortars and ammunitions, and they received one AAA canon but no ammunition…

Well, India had 50.000 soldiers with armored vehicles, aircrafts and navy ships, Portugal had 3500 soldiers, no armored vehicles and only one frigate and two small patrol boats, I heard that one of these patrol boats hit one indian aircraft with a 20 mm AAA but then was sunken by the same aircraft. 🙂
