Hi Steve,
please check yr PM ๐
Alex
I see ๐
did u have a look at the Spruce Aviation catalog for brake kits?
Alex
No, cabin heat closed and checked about every two minutes!
I know you find this hard to believe Alex but we can get hot weather over here!
It is pretty good now too.
i still have shivers from last 9th of july when the 737 door opened… i was in t-shirt and shorts and outside it was 11ยฐC!!! ๐ฎ
We asked the flight attendant “could u please raise the air conditioned temperature?” and she replied “we’re +10ยฐC from the outside temp, sir”. ๐
Alex
..I wonder what mess the seat was when u landed back home then ๐ ๐
cabin heat on maybe? ๐
Alex
Hiya Seavixen – ta for the offer am sure we’ll stop by!
Got your ticket yet then Alex?
TT
yes we will, ben implored me to be there ๐
Nope, no ticket, guess I’ll queue or join Snapper’s goats armada..
Alex
lol this spotter issue is yummy!
my two โฌurocents: most ppl seem to forget 2 factors: property and education.
from an operator point of view it’s true that covering/uncovering yr plane for every person who asks it is pure insanity, and there’s no way to leave it uncovered (all those switches, ligths and dials are too sensitive to heat..).. but in the mean time I understand the position of the hardcore spotters, who eventually paid a ticket.. now the way of the compromise would suggest to have a “spotters’ hour”, where all the spotters can have the plane uncovered (always according to the owner’s will) and take all the pics from a courtesy line (we found several persons struggling to seat in our Tigers in several occasions!).
As per the spotters who sign everything frantically… well it’s just an hobby, all in all they dont harm anybody, let’s be more tolerant ๐
Alex
P.S.
Melv, no kidding, that’s sweat on your T-shirt? At first I thought it was a lightning painted on it.. man, your sweating is far from human!! ๐
u said right melv, it’s a matter of finding a braking system which allows u to have a progressive control on them. Are the brake pedals on top of the rudder ones? The original config of the Rearwin was with a tailskid or tailwheel?
Alex
plate brakes? never heard of them before! this really tickled my curiosity, u have a skectch drawing or something? u even talked about some brake pics u took.. ๐
Anyway, think twice before installing disc brakes on a taildragger, they can turn out to be too effective and cause annoying results.. I’d definitely go for the drum ones.
Alex
thanks Melv! ๐
u have drum or disk brakes? This reminds me of the sooo many headaches and good pints of brake fluid when adjusting the Tiger Moth ones… despite our efforts we often had one wheel blocking or with no braking power at all, expecially on grassy airfields..
Alex
uhm, nice, how a ’bout building a huge catapult on the other side of the highway (back to the Road Runner style ๐ )?
Alex
Hey………..mine are free to fellow forumites.. ๐

eheheh u want me to take it seriously?! ๐
I could well ask u to print me some of yr pics and pay u the developing costs! ๐
Alex
I shall just cross the road and be in! soory to gloat :D:D:D:D
will be waiting for u on the road… ben just installed his GGS gunsight on the car :dev2: :dev2: :dev2:
Alex
thanks mike, will be more prevident next time ๐
So there ain’t no ticket offices other than the DX one right? I guess I’ll buy it in place then.. if u wanna make fun of me feel free to do it while i’m in the queue then ๐
Alex
so this means that my last and only option is to get the ticket directly in there the 8th?
Alex

The joke for Mr. Patterson was really nasty!! ๐
