although I love the sound of Merlins and Griffons, as well as Allisons and DB-605’s, IMHO nothing beats a Hispano Suiza HS 51 12Y !

clicked on the picture link but heard no sound πŸ˜€

that ain’t a genuine Harvard IV layout: the pedals come from a T-6 (Harvard pedals dont have the NA logo, sadly..) and the stick comes from only god knows where.. The Harvard IV has a spade grip in the front cockpit and a “bike” grip on the back (this because the stick could be removed and placed in a safe position in the cockpit to avoid problems when soloing). I’d love to get for our Harvie a stick like the one on the top, with the brass button instead of the bakelite one we have, but that’s something we can take care of later on πŸ™‚

well fellas, if we’re lucky enuff we soon might see at least two 109s and a 190 in the european airshow circuit! The german G2 is flying and is simply great, there’s then another one in france who made a static appearance at La FertΓ© Alais, and the Flugwerk 190 is alive and well too πŸ™‚

    I’m more axis-oriented, I’d love a Macchi of course and then a 109 or 190 😎
    how about a 110, or a Ju88??? πŸ˜€
Of course I’ll be more than satisfied with a Mustang, but it’s not really a rare sight at airshows, is it?

I dont think so, the owner just said he doesnt want to risk to prang her.. spend millions of dollars for it, but to me is pure nonsense if u dont fly her.

it makes my blood boil simply because it is one of the most terrible waste of craftmanship on earth: an airworthy FW190 D kept grounded!! I’d go there, slap the owner, jump in the cockpit and yell “Kontakt!!” πŸ˜€ πŸ˜‰

I love the looks of Twilight Tear, the metal surface looks really as it should, and not like the lousy “flat silver” finish applied to some mustangs, that make them look like huge toys..

    Cheers
