awesome!!! That Morane Saulnier is a jewel!!! Any info about the operational career of her?
Good ol’ biplanes: they need many cuddles but flying with ’em pays u back of all the sweat!
I have a question about the red Tiger Moth, but I guess just the ground crew/pilot/owner might reply.. Anyway, where do u guys made the smoke pipe pass? Seems like it goes straight thru the cylinders!

Designed to help remove the hood in an emergency

well I kinda imagined it wasnt meant for manicure, thanks 😉

Having it wired in place is even worse I guess! Let’s say it was useless in case of emergency, but why removing it anyway?? Maybe they were stolen?

awright fellas, got my hands back on my book!
What I can tell for now is that is a version between A7 and A9, or might even be a F8.
I am sure of this because of the cowling on the ground but above all because the cowl fasteners were moved from the top to the side cowl during developement. Is it possible to get a bigger scan of the pic? I might be able to get some extra details (I should look better at the cowl bulge).

Martin, I have a data plate of a former ITAF pilot removed from a scrapped P-51, want to give a glance at it? 😉
I even got from the same ol’ chap a tracer bullet of .50 cal coming from a shooting range area used by P-51s(sorry, F-51s) here in italy.

I have my pics too but cant find them in this mess..
I know some nice stories about this mustang and I have one question about the tailwheel..
The P-51 recently received a painting refresh for markings and stencils, the friend of mine who did it made from scratch even the small inspection placard on the spinner. We had a question we couldnt solve though: how comes the tailwheel doors are removed? I didnt go watching if the tailwheel is fixed or retractable, but maybe u can help us solve this lil mistery..

DiCaprio’s height changes throughout the film.

Also, when he and Cate are walking away from the floatplane (Sikorsky?), the aircraft was downsized so that it would fit in the shot.

As for the “does it matter, it’s only a film” comment – of course it does! We’re die-hard pedants, anoraks, nerds! Well I am, at least.

    How about creating the ANC?
