There are not so many places where you can still see types such as the Balliols, Tiger Moth, Chippies, Doves and Herons, HS748s, Jet Provosts, together with a range of russian/chinese types too! You have the added bonus of having it next to te active ramp and so you an see the AN-32s etc in operation!
For anyone interested and in the area it is really worth a visit.
Thanks Alex. I was just trying to try up what i saw at Kigali a couple of years back – a few Hinds and Hips, includig one in the dark green/cream colours that you’ve shown. There was also a Noratlas but not that one – T-01 if i remember correctly. There was also an AN-32 derelict with a 9XR- reg.
And how many of you knew that there were still F-100s flying? I didn’t know if any were flying until I saw this photo
There really are idle rich out there enjoying themselves with our money! Don’t get me wrong, I love the Sled and I’m glad some one is keeping at least one flying! RR
