I reckon you all need to re-read the title of this thread and note the word – beautiful! What Russian fighter is beautiful? Granted they are tough, rough and workmanlike and that has some appeal, but “beautiful”? No! The ‘104 is by far the top of the list!!! (yes, I’m still banging my drum for Kelly’s wonder machine!) RR
Of course if you accept the rough angles of a Russian machine as beautiful then the Tu-22 Blinder (not Backfire) is way out there ahead of the rest!!!!
The French used to seem to pride themselves on building the ugliest aircraft on the planet. Then came the Mirage…
Actually you are right, those Mirages!, but the ‘104 is still way out ahead!!!
A nice selection 92FIS. I particularly like no.2 of the first batch although cropping would add more impact. Even so, very good.
Nice Herk and Spartan, Pete. What equipment are you using and what PP software?
RR
Some great shots mate! I’m envious of the Skyraiders! I had hoped for htem at La Ferte Alais but none apppeared!!
A great selection mate! I like your departure from the normal stock shots, excellent! (and great subjects too!)
Nigerian Air Show? Graet shots!!!!
Is it me or are the pilots out of scale with the MIG-31 behind? I’ve seen a few Foxhounds and I don’t recall being dwarfed by them! Then of course, those pilots might be dwarfs!
Still the One and Only…….
Balu the Bear you seem to be the only one that sees the light! The F-104 was, without doubt, the most sleek, thrilling and beautiful aircraft in the air!!! All the others (on this thread) should have gone to Specsavers!! Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder – I actually think the F84F is wonderful too!…. and the MIG-23
Good action stuff Anna. Here are a few more…. I can’t access the files at the moment so here is my web link…. For Farnborough just go to the link at the bottom left

Excellent, CGull123. As said earlier, it is a very creative and different view of air show activity. I try to achieve this too, or at least a change from the stock views, with varying levels of success. Nevertheless I like this alternative approach. Well done.

Here you go PhantomII…
(from the small air forces thread)
Thanks Andy. That’ll save me a trip!
Thanks Flyer. Yes I had already found it on Google Earth but as I am going to SOF soon I wondered if it is worth a trip to Kumaritsa to see the Floggers? As it is a retired base can you get access? Thanks.
Nice SEMAE!!!!
I can’t compete with my non-VR equipment but here goes…
