    Duxford Saturday May 26th:

I can now exclusively reveal the format of Duxford’s newest development. A new control tower will soon be completed, alongside a Lancaster and several Spitfires:

    Duxford Friday May 25th:

Not much to report today except for some airshow practice:

The RAF Typhoon had a look around the area, but we’ll have to wait for Sunday for the full display:

    0480:ZK323

One of two Belgian Air Force F-16s operating from Mildenhall, FA-84 is a first airshow performance in the 2012 scheme:

    0479:FA-84

The French Air Force team ‘Cartouche Dore’ (Golden Bullet, I think) fly the TB-30 Epsilon trainer:

    Duxford Tuesday May 22nd:

Just a quick visit this morning, but the improving weather and next Sunday’s Display promise a busy week. Two Spitfires departed to an appreciative audience, first off was the Arco Tr.9:

    0462:G-CCCA / QV-I

    0463:G-CCCA / QV-I

Closely followed by LF.XVIe TD248, probably departing back to base:

    0464:G-OXVI / TD248

    0465:G-OXVI / TD248

    0466:G-OXVI / TD248

The TFC Harvard and Hawk 75 were on the grass:

    0474:G-BTXI / FE695, G-CCVH / 82

A quick walk round the P-40F:

    0467:G-CGZP

    0468:G-CGZP

    0470:G-CGZP

    0469:G-CGZP

    0471:G-CGZP

    0472:G-CGZP

    The TFC Nimrod:

    0473:G-BWWK / S1581

In the American Air Museum, the B-17G has her fin refitted:

    0475:F-BDRS / 44-83735

The fuselage has been lifted, ready for the attachment of the port wing:

    0476:F-BDRS / 44-83735

Finally, the latest Duxford development. The Play area is being enlarged and rebuilt with an aviation theme. Rumours promise a control tower and aircraft shaped climbing frames…

    Duxford Sunday May 20th:

Not historic aircraft, but an illustration of Duxford’s attraction: Five visiting aircraft all the way from Poland (Spot the Sopwith!).

    0456:Polish Visitors

EDIT The Polish group are undertaking a round Britain pilgrimage, visiting locations significant to Polish airmen of WWII.
They hope to travel as far North as Perth, and then down to Cornwall. Their trip concludes, naturally, at Northolt before returning home. Hoping they enjoyed their stop at Duxford, and best of luck with the British Summer weather…….

    Duxford Saturday May 19th:

For the record, Classic Wings Tiger Moth G-APAO/R4922 flew again today, so is apparently back on line after the damage last September:

    Duxford Friday May 18th:

Another busy day, but warbird activity was confined to a test flight and beautifully flown display from Spitfire LF.XVIe G-OXVI/TD248:

    0446:G-OXVI / TD248

I was very much in the wrong place throughout today’s activity (but watch for a Pen Pusher Post). So just another shot of the B-17 back in the AAM:

    Duxford Wednesday May 16th:

Finally, the B-17 move. An early arrival found Hangar 5 minus a fuselage, although the newly marked fin was prominent:

    F-BDRS / 44-83735

By my arrival, the fuselage was all but inside the AAM:

    F-BDRS / 44-83735

Luckily, coverage of the move has been provided:
