Duxford Friday May 25th:
Not much to report today except for some airshow practice:
The RAF Typhoon had a look around the area, but we’ll have to wait for Sunday for the full display:
One of two Belgian Air Force F-16s operating from Mildenhall, FA-84 is a first airshow performance in the 2012 scheme:
The French Air Force team ‘Cartouche Dore’ (Golden Bullet, I think) fly the TB-30 Epsilon trainer:
Duxford Tuesday May 22nd:
Just a quick visit this morning, but the improving weather and next Sunday’s Display promise a busy week. Two Spitfires departed to an appreciative audience, first off was the Arco Tr.9:
Closely followed by LF.XVIe TD248, probably departing back to base:
The TFC Harvard and Hawk 75 were on the grass:
A quick walk round the P-40F:

In the American Air Museum, the B-17G has her fin refitted:
The fuselage has been lifted, ready for the attachment of the port wing:
Finally, the latest Duxford development. The Play area is being enlarged and rebuilt with an aviation theme. Rumours promise a control tower and aircraft shaped climbing frames…
Duxford Sunday May 20th:
Not historic aircraft, but an illustration of Duxford’s attraction: Five visiting aircraft all the way from Poland (Spot the Sopwith!).
EDIT The Polish group are undertaking a round Britain pilgrimage, visiting locations significant to Polish airmen of WWII.
They hope to travel as far North as Perth, and then down to Cornwall. Their trip concludes, naturally, at Northolt before returning home. Hoping they enjoyed their stop at Duxford, and best of luck with the British Summer weather…….
Duxford Sunday May 20th:
Not historic aircraft, but an illustration of Duxford’s attraction: Five visiting aircraft all the way from Poland (Spot the Sopwith!).

Another busy day, but warbird activity was confined to a test flight and beautifully flown display from Spitfire LF.XVIe G-OXVI/TD248:
