    A quick update from today, Wednesday April 27th:

    Don’t worry, it was only soap and water at that stage! The work schedule is as dependant on Health ‘n Safety as any other project at DX.
    The B-17 never had wartime paint, as it went straight to storage and then executive use. It was unpainted on arrival in 1975, see previous photo.

    Easter Monday was De Havilland day at Duxford, with Beaver, Chipmunk, Tiger Moth, Dragon Rapide and Venom all flying.

    A quiet Easter Sunday at Duxford, only Ferocious Frankie airborne.
    There were a couple of strippers at work in Hangar 5. Note the ‘Black 6’ markings on the bucket, even the Duxford buckets have historic connections!

    By coincidence, I’ve just come across this picture of G-ARGG in service as WD305 with Cambridge UAS. Since it was civilianized 19-10-60, it is at least 50 years ago, but exact date and location are unknown. (Photo by Gerald Lawrance via Tony Clarke)
