Bright and busy a DX today. TFC’s Gladiator, Spitfire V and P-40F were all flying (The Gladiator for the first time with all 4 guns)

Duxford Tuesday 16th May:
Work is now well underway on restoring/conserving the IWM Ohka. Some original paint and markings have been revealed, and a start has been made with undoing the damage caused by years of outside display. The woodwork seems in better shape than some of the metal structure and fittings, but the build quality is very high. It was obviously built to last (!)

Very busy at Duxford today despite the variable weather. Fury G-CBEL/SR661 arrived at her new base from Sywell this morning in very dull conditions:
Spitfire NH341 departed to Headcorn for the weekend, while PV202 gave rides and N3200 flew Wing-to-Wing sorties:
T-28 G-TROY departed to Abingdon for tomorrow’s show:

Those who remember the 2014 D-Day 70th anniversary events will recall the Lee-On-Solent C-47 gathering.
In 2019 IWM will be hosting a 75th anniversary event.

Duxford Wednesday 26th April:
Work has started on conserving/restoring Ohka BAPC.159.
A Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka 11 rocket powered kamikaze anti-shipping weapon, previously at Chattenden, it arrived in 2011.
There is a lot missing, and some non-original parts to replace.
Anyone have Japanese blueprints, instruments or spare parts ???
