Duxford Wednesday 26th April:
Strong winds, hail storms and warm sunshine today, but plenty happening as usual.
Sally B emerged from a winter’s TLC in hangar 2 and took up her regular spot on the Eastern apron after some ground runs.
Help came from a brand new Kubota M6060 4 cylinder 4WD 63.5 hp tractor on loan from the makers.
Crew training starts on May 9th, with the first Sunday access for supporters/members on Sunday May 7th.

Duxford Friday 21st April:
A busy day at Duxford despite the (very) dull weather. TFC’s Wildcat, P-40C and Harvard were flying, with a couple of sorties by P-51D ‘Miss Helen’:
The Yellowjacks’ Gnat made two approaches:
Visitors included two Chipmunks and a smart Pacer:
Finally, I was lucky to see the first flight from a new Duxford resident this afternoon. I believe it is a new Robin variant, seen here after the first landing:

A full day at Duxford was a rare treat today, with plenty going on ( and even a little sunshine ).
Aero Legends ‘new’ Spitfire IX Trainer NH341 was up twice continuing the test programme:
Spitfire I P9374 flew a 40 minute sortie ending with a practice display:

Buchon G-AWHE was out for engine runs (maybe due for a trip away?)

My Duxford visits are rare at the moment, but I did manage a quick look yesterday. I notice the Blenheim I has its ‘new’ intakes fitted. This upgrade (for those who are not Blenheim Society members) has been planned for a while and meant the construction of two British type intakes to replace the Canadian built examples. The second pic (from last September) shows the build process, from an original damaged part on the right used to construct a wooden shape used to form the new part:
