Talking of trademarks, I notice that the latest Corgi diecast catalogue features the P-51D Mustang (TM). I wonder who has registered it.

Old Warden Tuesday 15th December:
As usual, plenty to see in the engineering workshops. The Ryan is now wearing pants, and the Spitfire cockpit glazing is well underway:
There’s a great chance to inspect these and many other projects at the upcoming Engineering Weekend on Sat/Sun January 2/3. No flying scheduled, but Hurricane R4118 will be on show, as well as the Bristol Scout replica G-FDHB/1264.
Talking of upcoming events, the Shuttleworth website offers a taste of next year’s airshows.
The Season Premiere on May 8th features B-17G, Blenheim and P-51D (red-tail???)
Fly Navy Day on June 5th will include the Kennet Skyraider and Seafire.
The Military Pageant on July 3rd will feature 6 Hurricanes (and a Buchon!)
Things are a little quiet at Duxford at the moment, so with the Mosquito being in the news, here are some pics of TA719 being rolled out.
This machine was used in the film ‘633 Squadron’ before being sold in 1963 to Peter Thomas for the Skyfame Museum. Badly damaged at Staverton in 1964, she was rebuilt for static display, and moved to Duxford in 1978 when the Skyfame fleet was dispersed. The Mosquito is one of six aircraft in Airspace which remind us of the debt we all owe to Peter Thomas’ pioneering work in aircraft preservation.
TA719 was refurbished in 2004/2005 for display in Airspace, and these pics were taken on the rollout on Feb.9th 2005.
How long before another Mosquito arrives at Duxford?
How is VT looking prior to winter DCW?
Terry
Not too bad, considering she’s approaching her 57th birthday (FF 17-12-58).
The elevators were removed recently for restoration work.
By coincidence, ‘VT arrived at Duxford on June 29th 1975, the same day that the recently posted pics of T-33 and Spitfire G-AIDN were taken.
Duxford Wednesday 2nd December:
Another quiet day. Newly completed Chipmunk G-BCOU/WK522 was out for its second flight:
The sunshine brought out several GA visitors. I didn’t get a photo of them all, but I got a photo of the Maule:
Talking of GA, there’s a new resident, 1971 Rallye Club G-AZKE ( that’s two Kilo Echoes to confuse ATC ):
