I noticed the new admission prices were displayed at Duxford today. As previously mentioned, the standard entry stays the same, but a new fee for children (5-15) is offset by a new ‘Family Ticket’
Not yet on the website is a very attractive Annual Pass at £22.50 or less, which gives unlimited access for the year (apart from airshows). Better value than FoD if you plan to visit more than once a year!
Just a reminder of previous years’ coverage. These threads disappear from the forum, but will still survive by the magic of the internet and can be found at:

Duxford Wednesday 31st December:
With the Sun setting on 2014, it’s time to wind things up.
Firstly, on behalf of all the Duxford regulars, many thanks to all who have posted their appreciation on this thread recently. It is always gratifying to know our efforts are well received.
Our coverage of events is a team effort, and would not be possible without the assistance (and tolerance) of the many Duxford staff and volunteers. Hopefully our coverage of 2015 will be equally thorough.
Best wishes to all for 2015,
DCW
No 3 was ‘Royal Navy Instructional Airframes’ circa 1978. This series was marketed as ‘Super Monographs’ since an earlier series existed. I have:
No.3:Blackburn Beverley
No.5:AW Meteor TT.20
(both undated)
Luke,
JP and Blenheim are on view, but both are well covered for winter (suggest you do the same!!)
Duxford Monday 29th December:
I was struggling to find much of interest today, until I was reminded of a significant Duxford anniversary.
70 years ago today, 32 P-51D and P-51K from the 82nd and 83rd FS departed Duxford on a bomber escort mission to Frankfurt, the first operation by 78th FG Mustangs. Among the aircraft of the 82nd FS was ‘Etta Jeanne’, flown by Capt. Huie Lamb. The story of his ditching in the North Sea and subsequent rescue will be familiar to many, and provides an excellent excuse to picture (again) IWM’s representation of the replacement Mustang, ‘Etta Jeanne II’.
Many thanks to Chris for the facts!
At the other extreme, a couple of today’s visitors:
Old Warden Sunday 28th December (Shuttleworth Engineering Open Weekend) Part 1:
Another magic day at Old Warden, with plenty of sunshine and plenty of visitors. Engineering staff and volunteers were on hand to provide the stories behind each project:
The Camel replica has made significant progress, and will represent D1851/X, a Ruston&Proctor built Camel with 70 Sqn in 1918 as ‘Ikanopit’:
Other aircraft featured were the Sopwith Triplane, Spitfire, Provost, Po2, Comet and Mew Gull:
In case anybody wants the full list:
