Old Warden Monday 15th December:
Some recent work on the hangar floors has displaced many of the exhibits. The vehicle collection is particularly well shown at the moment:
I think there’s a caption competition here:
Lysander and Deperdussin:
In the workshops, there’s major progress with Spitfire, Camel and Triplane. They will all be featured at the Engineering Open Weekend on Sat 27th and Sun 28th December. An ideal post-Christmas day out!
Duxford Friday 12th December:
A few news items:
Next September’s air display, the Battle Of Britain Anniversary Air Show has been confirmed as being on Sep 19th/20th (a week after the provisional dates). Presumably to avoid a clash with the Goodwood Revival and allow booking of all the Spitfires, Hurricanes and Messerschmitts. I believe this may be a ticket-only event. Bookings start mid-January (as well as the May VE-Day event).
Legends tickets are already available on-line.
2015 daily admission stays at £17.50, but a there’s a new charge for children (5-15) of £8.75. New family tickets could offset the new charges somewhat.
Action Stations are now advertising flights alongside B-17 Sally B on four weekends next Summer. £1870 for 30 minutes in a PA-31 Navajo Chieftain. See:
Duxford Monday 8th December:

The above gun pack was echoed in Hangar 2, where TFC’s Gladiator is now up to three guns for the first time:
The early sunsets at this time of year offer some colour:
Duxford Friday 5th December:
There was some rare sunshine at Duxford today, so naturally the Blenheim stayed firmly on the ground:
Frankie, however, took full advantage of the weather and treated us to a marvellous winter workout. To see and hear this man and machine is always a privilege, but in today’s late sunshine, it was something special:
Duxford Sunday 30th November:
Thanks for all the recent comments, I think I can speak for all the regulars when I say feedback is always welcome.

Two oxygen bottles have been added to the rear fuselage:
The cockpit is mostly complete with only a few gaps to fill:
In Hangar 2, Sally B’s regular crew were working on the undercarriage, allowing a rare view of the B-17 main gear:
Duxford Wednesday 19th November:
Duxford’s based Jet Provost was busy this afternoon:
And, as mentioned elsewhere, Blenheim (Duxford) Ltd’s Blenheim I reproduction G-BPIV/L6739 underwent some engine runs. At 1530, she taxied for the first time as the sun went down:
Many congratulations to the whole team.
