Duxford Friday 27th June:
A great day’s flying again, with the weather much better than forecast. Early flights from the Catalina and Spitfire PV202 were followed by three sorties by Spitfire MH434 in the Classic Wings ‘Wing-To-Wing’ programme. Sadly, the wonderful display by Paul Bonhomme was in poor light:
Poor light again for a vigorous display by passing Hunter WV372:
Old Warden Saturday 21st June:
Both BE2e’s were engine running last Thursday, since when they have been together in Hangar 3. The only difference (apart from markings) that I can see is the observer’s gun mount, which is on the starboard side of A2943 and on the port side of A2767 (which also has a drum rack on the Starboard side).
The Camel replica is presently in the Hangar 1 workshop and partly rigged. Looking more like a Camel on every visit.
This Jodel is presently ‘resident’:
Today Old Warden hosted the International Auster Clubs AGM, and among the visitors was the mighty Agricola:

Old Warden Tuesday 17th June:
Here are a few more views of Old Warden’s latest arrivals:
The second airframe (ZK-KOZ/A2767) is well on the way to completion:
The two aircraft will hopefully be at their future base (Stow Maries) on Saturday June 28th, for their Armed Forces Day. Details on the new Stow Maries website at:
For the record, A2767 is ZK-KOZ c/n 752. It represents a 37 Sqn aircraft based at Stow Maries in 1917 and hopefully will be based there.
First to be assembled, A2943 is ZK-TFZ c/n 753 in 7 Sqn markings, and is for German collector Oliver Wulff.
The Camel replica is progressing well, with both additions to both metalwork (chutes and cowling) and woodwork (upper decking ‘hump’):
Another quick question
Is the silver Spit SM845 due at any of the other Duxford airshows this year
Thanks
Luke
Now showing as a participant on the Legends website.

The ‘Desert’ Buchon G-AWHE departed to Humberside, with a few manoeuvres before setting course:
Another Jet Provost passed by this morning, this time T.3 G-BKOU/XN637:
A visitor this afternoon was formerly based Nord 1002 G-ATBG:
A couple of classics on the line today were TravelAir G-ASYJ (pictured arriving yesterday) and Aircoupe G-ARHB. Both looking great for their age (1964 and 1961 respectively):
