Today’s events centred on Hangar 2, where ‘Miss Velma’ is the latest machine to receive some TFC TLC:

A murky morning, but not bad enough to prevent sorties from Fennec N14113 and Cub G-AKAZ. Chipmunk WG348/G-BBMV departed:
10 years ago today, Catalina C-FNJF (now G-PBYA) arrived at Duxford. Congratulations to the Plane Sailing team for keeping such a demanding machine in the air, and for a decade of display flying.
Duxford Sunday 30th March:
The great weather meant good attendance figures at Duxford today, both by road and by air. Here’s a few of the visiting light aircraft:
The end of March sees another batch of IWM disposals, including one very undervalued asset. Conceived in the Fifties, this project took a long time to reach maturity (if at all), and only one was built. A multi-role system which will be missed, hopefully ‘FT will return to Duxford in a new photographic role.

Pembroke C.1 WV740 (G-BNPH) was a very welcome sight in the circuit this afternoon. Once based at Duxford, she has been inactive for a while.
