Duxford Friday 21st March (Part 2):
The Spitfire activity today continued with the arrival from Waddington of Spitfire Tr.9 G-BMSB / MJ627. After a quick refuel, she was flown again before being hangared.
The HAC Hurricane was also on the move, though firmly on the ground:

A few recent items spotted on G-INFO:
Tiger Moth G-ANJK (inactive since around 1985) was restored 7-3-14
Titan T-51 Mustang G-CIFD is being finished as a ‘Razorback’ version. Pics in the latest LAA Magazine.
BIG news is G-TMPV, a Tempest V ex JN768 registered 13-3-14 to Richard Grace. There’s a story behind this ex-maintenance airframe which was recovered from a scrapyard a while ago still wearing some V-I kill markings. A rather exciting prospect…..

It’s officially Summer now, with IWM extended opening times (1000-1800), and to prove it we had unbroken sunshine all day.
Frankie moved aside to allow a Harvard onto the flightline:
The two Harvards in the circuit provided some real noise:
Also active this afternoon was Chipmunk G-ARMG:
I’ve been trying to get a good shot of these two Spitfires for a while, there’s quite a contrast between Mk.I and XVIII:
Finally, with the starboard radiator removed, there’s more interesting detail beneath the TFC Spitfire FR.XIVe G-SPIT / MV268:
Old Warden Sunday 9th March:
The Scale Model Exhibition at Old Warden was well attended today. With modellers and traders taking over Hangar 1 (the workshops), some aircraft shuffling had occurred since my last visit.
The Camel was sharing hangar space with Pup, Triplane and the other Great War machines. The instrument panel was fitted and the fuselage top decking (or hump!) is coming together:
The Lysander reveals how complex it is under the skin:
Tiger Moth G-ANJD appears to be over for maintenance:
A visitor this morning was Pitts S-1S G-FLIK (builder Rob Millinship):
