It’s a private event since it is for the benefit of Chipmunk owners/pilots, though obviously activities are visible over the fence.
From reports of previous events, there could be around ten aircraft around over the four days, with some practice formation and aerobatic sorties.

Duxford Friday 26th July (Part 2):
The TFC P-47G was taken down to Stansted this afternoon to help mark the airfield’s 70 years of operation. On her return, we were treated to a remarkable display by a remarkable pilot and his favourite aeroplane.
