great thread Kev.. problem was when I looked through my snaps I realised I’ve not taken that many at Old Warden, the reason being as its the one place where I tend to just sit back, have a chat and watch the aeroplanes..
anyway, going with the theme of ‘those that make it happen’ heres a couple of ‘pushers and pullers’… 😀
Neil.

’twas a fine end of season display.. didnt take any pictures during the main display, was firmly glued to my chair, chatting with the other ‘grumpy old men’, sipping beer and watchign the aeroplanes.. made the effort to stand up though as the sun went down.. the brisfit looked really nice in the glow of the setting sun.. and i was impressed that i manged to get ‘motion blur’ on the Bleriot..
Neil.
I was sad enough to go in on my day off to take mine….
Neil.
, and the three transvestites with old cameras (allegedly a Leica – didn’t spot that, but did see a Pentacon) raised a smile.

funnily enough I was just looking at the flyer for the event.. nope, no mention of anyone by name other than Raymond Baxter… doesnt say who’s organising it either as these doo’s are normally set-up by a gallery/publisher.. may be worth giving EK a ring.. Neil.
luckily it was sunny on Thursday.. 😀 Neil
I got talked in to watching a game of Rugby and therefore missed out on a trip in a Mustang…. and I’m still cross…
you missed out on a flight over Old Warden (twice!) if it was you usual mount..
Neil
mm it was just from memory they didnt seem to work too well in the Hillman Imp application, although they were fine in Lotus’s… 😀
Neil
just going slightly off-topic, when was the last time the ex-‘Rasta Cat’ operated from water ??
Neil.
Sounds quite the international job. Weren’t Hillman Imps build in Scotland?
weren’t the engines based on a Coventry Climax water-pump.?? 😮
Neil
good-stuff.. both yours and Nicks have really nice colours on the ground shots.. Neil
yep well done to all involved, good afternoons entertainment, even though I didnt win the raffle.. 😀 agree Lanc was nicely displayed, including some nice topside passes – anyone get any snaps??
Neil.
