Like a lot of things in life, IMO the best way to learn is to listen to as many opinions/advice as possible then take from all those sources what works for you… for example, someone put a link up from a photography wbesite (may even have been AP) which gave advice on taking photos of aeroplanes and they advised always using the highest posssible shutter speed.. to illustrate this they used a shot of a prop-driven aeroplane with a perfectly sharp and frozen propeller!
